#226 Fashion is Art

I saw this Liv-Glam dress on another blog, and was immediately in "got to have it" mode, because - cats!  So I ran down to Fashionart and picked it up, along with the matching bag which is sold separately.  What makes the dress and bag even better are the texture change huds that allow you to choose any one of the following textures, so even if you aren't a crazy cat lady like me there is plenty here to keep you happy - and you can match your bag to your dress easily!  The bag comes in 4 options - left hand, left shoulder, right arm, right hand, so you can easily find the right option for your outfit.

What I really love about the Liv-Glam texture huds, apart from how easy they are to use, is that you rarely get just a few changes of colour, you get beautifully made, unique textures.  This dress illustrates this perfectly - the hud gives you 6 very different textures, not just one dress in 6 colours, so you basically get 6 different dresses for the price of one.

My grumpy little friend is from the Alchemy/Birdy gacha at Kustom9, and she is one of the rares.  The chaise I am using is from Nantra at My Attic at The Deck.  It has 8 poses and 6 textures.

Simply Sakide at The Thrift Shop

“Energy and persistence conquer all things” -  Benjamin Franklin

At the latest round of The Thrift Shop, Sakide has four mini dresses, all texture change via HUD.  I am only showing one of the four today - this is the plain dark set. 

You can wear just the dress, or the dress with the belt ,each option having it's own HUD, and both belt and dress are texture change independently, so you get way more combinations than this mathematically challenged blogger can compute!  I am showing the belted option as I like the low slung belt look.

The hair is a new one from Exile, and my shoes are one of my favourites from KoiKoi  (texture change of course ㋡).

Gowns are like buses...................

.......I don't do a gown post for months and then suddenly do two within a few days.... but how could I resist!

I built this outfit round the stunning necklace (if ever a necklace is worthy of the accolade "statement piece", this is it) and earrings, two of Maxi Gossamer's items at  the current Collabor88.  .As almost always with Maxi's pieces, these are colour change, but I had seen the gown around the same time so decided to go with the gold.  

The [[ Masoom ]] gown is  for sale at the Singer Icon Fair and is available in a further four colour options, and includes a lola applier. The fullness of the skirt is created by two mesh attachments, something I have not seen before on a gown, and they certainly do help the gown to flow beautifully, appearing to be of a part of the gown, which can't be said of many flexi attachments.

Pale and Shimmying

More Horrorfest

Today's post is another featuring goodies from Horrorfest.  I love the Keystone "witchy jewels" which adorn my forehead, and come with a texture change hud.  The dress from LouLou fits really well and comes in both the skully version shown here, and a blood spattered one.  And the final Horrorfest item is the pendant - there are many to choose from but I of course have gone for the batty one.

My hair is one of the gifts from Alice Project for their "Halloween Massacre" series - they are giving a free hairstyle every day until October 31st, each of which come in 5 blood spattered colours. In addition, on 3 days there are styles limited to VIP group members.

I went along to the Boho Culture Fair today, but didn't have much spending money (having spent my clothing allowance on gorgeous shoes - shown below!) so just picked up this hair from MINA, and some dollarbies and Freebies.  The hair has texture change huds for both the hair and the headband.

My dress is new from Shey and gives you 10 different texture choices via hud - below I have shown you all except one, which is a bright yellow with dotty hemline.
