#551 The unicorn

ZZ decided she was going to spend yesterday working in the garden, but she didn't dress in suitable gear, so we all know that was not her intention.  She instead wore her new hologram texture sundress from Stories & Co by Flowey which she had picked up at Collabor88. and her favourite Glamistry sandals, and was going to spend the day lolling around and playing with her ever expanding menagerie.  She is wearing a new hairdo from Rezology and decided to go a kind of lavender blonde (which she created herself using their hud) as she really likes Rezology blondes.

Imagine her surprise when she stepped into the garden to find a unicorn - yes, a unicorn!  The unicorn whinnied a little when he saw her so she slowly and carefully walked up to him, making soft noises to reassure him.  The gentle creature allowed her to stroke his head to calm him and let him know he was safe.  Before long he allowed her to climb on her back as he trotted round the garden.  They spent a lovely day out there, playing with all ZZ's other animals, and she fed him fresh apples from her tree and carrots from her vegetable patch.  

Sadly, as night started to fall, she realised he needed to leave, so she climbed off his back and gave him a big hug and a little kiss.  As she looked into his eyes she knew he was telling her that he would be back someday, when she least expected it.  With that lovely thought, ZZ waved her new friend off with a smile, and looked forward to the next surprise.

My top and capris are both from DE Designs, and available now at the Mesh Body Addicts Fair.  They fit like a dream on my Lara, and are great for lazy ZZ because with the click of a hud button you can switch between having the tank showing, or if you feel a bit more daring, leaving it off.  Although sold separately, the top and capris are an absolute perfect match.  Both come in an array of colours, and as always can be bought separately or in an extremely good value fat pack.

The pose in this first pic are for the Pose Hop event, which this month has the theme of Celebration.  The poses are on sale at the designer's mainstores, and you can find out more about the event here. The pose actually comes from a set for brides, but I played a little to make one work for me in this non-bridal post.  The pose below is from a set by Purple Poses.

My dress is new from DE Designs and as with everything Doc Eldritch makes, it is beautiful made and a joy to wear.  I always love Doc's textures but particularly like it when he gives us a choice of plains or patterns to choose from as he has done with this dress - I have shown you a couple of the gorgeous  floral patterns.  As always, this dress comes in a multitude of fits, so you are sure to find something that works for you.

My hair is from the lovely Sisch Firecaster for the new round of The Season's Story.  It is available in a variety of huds, all containing a generous 30 colour choices.

 I am very happy, after a very long search, to have finally found eyes I love, and they are from a totally new-to-me designer, Kendra Parfort, for her store Avi Glam.  They have a selection of different eyes, all equally beautiful and just 49L a pair, or you can buy fatpacks.  What is particularly exciting to me as a blogger who changes her eyes in pretty much every post is that the fatpacks are hud operated, so just one set of eyes to fit to your mesh head and you are done.  I went for the Celestial range Arctic pack of the for this post, and this comes with an absolutely gorgeous selection of eyes on the blue spectrum in 3 size choices.  In my next post I will be wearing eyes from the same range but the Nature pack and you can pretty much expect these to be in all my blog posts for the foreseeable future.

Zsa wanted to show you how good she is at magic, but didn't want you to think she was cheating.  So when this gorgeous bikini landed in my inventory, I just had to blog it - and it gives Zsa nowhere to hide stuff to cheat at magic, so you will know she can really do it.  That's her thinking anyway, I'm keeping quiet.

As you would expect from Annie Melson, this gorgeous little bikini fits perfectly to my Maitreya Lara mesh body, and there is a scrumptious array of colours available, or a hud controlled fat pack.  You can change the colour of the strings, metal and jewels independently.  The top and bottom are separates so you can mix and match if you wish.  It is available exclusively at Uber, which right now is near impossible to get into, but keep trying!

I have teamed my bikini with some cute flats from Glamistry which I was easily able to coordinate with the bikini thanks to his fabulous hud system.  My sunnies are also from Glamistry, and along with other sunnies, are on special offer in the Glamistry store.  They also come with an extensive texture change hud.

My hair is brand new from Amacci for Shiny Shabby, and I have gone with the blondes hud again as I really love the Amacci textures and it seems a shame to just wear reds.  My poses are new from Nantra for this month's One Word, and come with 12 poses (including mirrors) and 4 different props - I have shown all props plus a selection of poses.

#465 First "Sneak Peek" at goodies coming to Fashion for Life soon

On 6 March, Fashion for Life in support of Relay for Life open their 10th anniversary event with the theme of "That's Entertainment".  I always like knowing my lindens are going to a special cause, and find it a very good reason to spend spend spend - I hope you feel the same and will spend spend spend at FFL!  I will add the slurl when the sims open - yes, sims - 10 of 'em!

The first sneak peek I am showing you is a dress I am totally in love with, from a designer I have heard of but must admit to never checking out.  The designer is Plowwies and the reason I have not visited is that I thought they only made jammies (pyjamas if you are posh :) ) - and I don't wear jammies in either life.  Plowwies do indeed have some cute jammies available at FFL, and also a cute critter gacha, but they also have this fantastic dress.  It comes with a hud allowing you to change multiple faces independently, and the colour choices are absolutely gorgeous.  

My shoes (close up below) are brand new from Glamistry and I think they just might be my favourite ever pair of Glamistry shoes.  My poses are again from Exposeur where you will find all poses and props reduced to 50L-100L and gachs 15L a go to raise funds for veterinary bills for the owner's sick kitty - please read the flickr post here to learn more about it.

Most of the time, when I have blogged an item I delete the outfit, but sometimes I like them so much I add them to my "keepers" outfit folder - and this is definitely one of those.

I wanted to share a close-up of this stunning skin from 7 Deadly S{K}ins  which is available exclusively for the White Elephant Gacha Fair.  This beauty is one of the commons but I just love those freckles! 

 My super cute nails are from Encore and will be at The Bi-Annual Wash Cart Sale when it opens on the 16th - each pack is just $10L you get appliers for Slink, Maitreya, Belleza, Eve and Omega.  

My dress is Just Because's item for the current round of FaMESHed and is a really sweet, girly dress with an unusual neckline that will work for so many occasions.   There is an array of beautiful colours (or a hud controlled fatpack) to choose from and a hud allowing you to change the belt and metal colours - you can also wear the dress without the belt.  

I had fun playing with these new props from Repose who are participating in the Winter Gacha Festival which runs till Dec 31st.  They have 10 new prop poses available to collect, each gacha prize contains both seasonal and tintable non-seasonal versions of the prop.

If you were wondering what I did that I said I wouldn't do, it is decorating for Christmas.  Well not really, I decorated for this post. I have issues with crashing if I try to take pics in pretty sims, and I am pretty bored with using backdrops, so I thought I would make the effort and make my home the backdrop.  All my Christmas decor comes from my friend Pet's Christmas shop. The tree skirt and rug are texture change, and there are plenty of other goodies to be found there and everything is incredibly reasonably priced - I think the most expensive item cost me only $50L.  The sofa is a still-available Black Friday freebie, so well worth a trip to pick up - I love the combination of pink and grey.

#433 No two persons ever read the same book....

When I started putting this look together, I found Zsa had a kind of book nerd look going on, so I hunted for book props in my inventory, found this set from Picture This, and we did the shoot.   However, I then found myself unable to find a current slurl or mp store for Picture This, so I am wondering if they have closed down. I will continue trying to locate them and will update this post if I am successful.

Anyway, onto the clothes.  My necklace and earrings set are new by Indulge Temptation for Designer Circle - there are 6 different huds to choose from - I say buy 'em all while they are discounted!  Indulge Temptation are fast becoming a real favourite of mine for jewelry, and I will definitely wear these again and make sure the earrings are more visible because they are really pretty.

I am wearing a skirt and sweater from Baby Monkey, both of which come with the special Baby Monkey basics hud which includes 9 classic, wardrobe staple colours - I have included the ad for the outfit below, so you can see what you get in the pack and what great value it is, particularly as both pieces are compatible with Maitreya, Belleza and Slink as well as fitmesh and standard sizing.  I am wearing mine on my Maitreya Lara and they fit like a dream.  Oh, and skirt and sweater can be worn separately.

My shoes from KC Couture also come with a humoungous texture change hud with 40 choices (if Zsa tells you I had to get my calculator out to work this out, don't believe her!) for each of 4 shoe parts - so basically any colour combo you want, you will be able to create it.
