Candy

My outfit today comprises separate bodysuit, leggings and straps by Just Because.  It is a brand new mainstore release, and comes in solid colours as well as 4 skeletons.  I couldn't resist this skeleton one, and have been wearing this since the moment I first put it on!  This is quite a change from Annie Melson's normal style, but as always it is a fabulous piece of mesh with great textures bringing it to life, and it is such fun to wear.

My lipstick and eyeshadow/eyeliner combo are both at the current round of Applique.  This is a new to me event, but as a lover of all kinds of appliers for mesh heads it is just perfect for me - not only lots of pretty stuff to play with, but also introducing me to new designers such as the ones whose makeup I am wearing here.  I should mention that they do applier clothing as well as everything you can think of for the mesh head lover.  

My poses and the skeleton stool are both from Nantra for Candy Fair which finishes tomorrow, so if you want it, you need to hurry.  It comes with 12 poses and 12 sweetie props, but I have chosen not to use it in the pic above (actually, I couldn't, because Zsa ate it).

#502 It was June, and the world smelled of roses

The bikini I am wearing here is the gorgeous Vegas bikini by the lovely Freya Olivieri for Mon Cheri.  It is materials enabled and comes with a soft illuminator - and as a hater of facelights, I can tell you that this really is soft and well worth wearing, as the sequin bikini top looks spectacular using it.  Sadly I forgot to wear it for this shoot as I wasn't happy with my previous photos so did a reshoot.  There is a choice of beautiful colours to choose from, or a fatpack which comes with an extra colour, which I am wearing above.  The body chain, in both silver and gold, comes with the bikini but as a separate attachment so you can choose to wear or not.  This set is available at the Tropical Summer Fair which ends 17 June so if you want it, run!

My fringed leather anklets are from another favourite shop of mine, Alaskametro for On9.  There are 6 colour sets with 3 colours per set.  All sets are 15% off at the event, and the metallics which I am wearing, are 25% off.  They are unrigged so you you can move and resize as you wish, and just wear one on it's own.

The poses I am using are from the Dangerous When Wet pack by Nantra, I had fun trying to find somewhere on my land to set up the dive board, eventually putting it over a fallen log, thankfully ZZ didn't dive into the lake beneath it and frighten the Mallards.  In the pack you get the diving board and 2 different corals - the diving board contains 4 poses (including mirrors), and there are also 8 loose poses  (including mirrors).  The pack is available now at The Vintage Fair.

#495 Real Beauty

If I was told I could only wear one outfit for the rest of my Second Life, I would choose this one.  The top and bottom are from two of my favourite SL designers, Doc Eldritch and Annie Melson, and are such a total pleasure to wear.  I fell in love this brand new shirt from DE Designs the minute I tried it on, and was trying to decide what to wear with it, when I remembered a previous release from Just Because that I hadn't yet blogged - these gorgeous suede pants.  

Both top and pants come in a plethora of colours, and are as good as it gets with fitted mesh, and both fit like a dream on my Maitreya Lara mesh body.  The textures are incredible, the creases and folds giving a truly realistic appearance.  Ok, I will stop there before I overdose on my own adjectives!

My outfit today consists of top and shorts from Entice, both taken from different sets.  As with almost all Entice items, they are available in colour packs, with each pack giving you 3 or more colour choices via hud.  I have used one hud from each and done a bit of a mix and match.  As of when I publish this post, the tank plus denim skirts and boots are still available for just 99L for a 3 pack.  The shorts are available alone or in hud operated packs.

ZZ feels that this is a great outfit for running round events so I added some cute sneakers from KC Couture to avoid the chance her of falling and breaking a pixel or two if she runs around in her usual sky high heels.

Avi-Glam are at this month's Cosmopolitan with two packs of eyes.   At the risk of repeating myself (because I am!) I am so happy that my quest for eyes has finally ended, I can't say enough good things about these eyes.  They are just 75L for one colour, or 229L for the fat pack.  A huge bonus for the fat pack is that you only ever need one set of eyes, and any fat pack huds will work with them.  For someone who changes her eye colour as often as she...well, changes her eye colour.. this is a massive plus.  I have included the full hud below so that as well as seeing the gorgeousness of the colours, you can also see how easy it is to adjust them all from the same hud.

#436 Nothing Burns like the cold

My outfit today consists of various current items from Baby Monkey.  The Sophie dress I am wearing is very versatile - it comes with an optional scarf. and the dress, scarf and sleeves can all be textured independently.  You can buy the dress with the 9 basic colour hud, and if you wish, the additional 35 colour expansion hud (but this is just the hud, not the dress) - I am using the expansion hud.  Both are currently available on the new releases wall at half price for group members - but I don't think it will be there much longer, so you need to make sure to get there soon to get it half price.  Oh, I am wearing Maitreya Lara and had no issue at all fitting anything.

I have had fun in the snow putting together a variety of looks to show how versatile these pieces are - though I totally forgot to do a pic without the scarf, sorry!  I have teamed this dress with tights from the current Baby Monkey group gifts wall, and the Kent boots, also from Baby Monkey and which are a real favourite for me at the moment, I love the suede textures.  You can buy them with a 35 texture hud or in one of the smaller colour packs.

#430 Tiny primate inspires blogger

In my first sl incarnation (over 8 years ago) I had a real soft spot for Last Call - I wonder if anyone else out there remembers them?  This incarnation it has always been Baby Monkey - for the quality, the textures, the generous group gifts, and how Pixie switches colour palettes to match each new season.  I simply love Baby Monkey's classy and classic wardrobe staples.

I have another reason for loving Baby Monkey, as it was winning one of their store photo contests that sowed the seed that eventually became this blog.  I had never entered a photo contest before, nor had I ever thought of blogging, but here I am, blogging for almost 2 1/2 years now, and it all started with a Baby Monkey!

So today my blog is a celebration of all things Baby Monkey.  My jeans, boots and earrings are all part of the current season's collection and my poncho is one of the current group gifts.  Everything works perfectly with my Maitreya Lara mesh body, with minimal alpha tweaks.

The poncho comes with a hud giving a choice of 9 plain and 9 patterns, the jeans with 5, the boots with 35, the earrings 35 plus 4 metal choices.

#426 Capturing Madeline

This post was created from the jewellery up.  Zuri Rayna has created another incredibly intricate statement set which I am showing here in the champagne/sterling but there is an array of gorgeous colours to tempt you.  I have included a close up of the necklace below so you can see how intricate the central cameo and the metal surroundings and beads are.  There is also a headpiece in the set which I am not showing here.

With such a statement set I wanted a very simple dress, and remembered I had this elegant gown in my inventory so grabbed it and chose colours via the hud (separate parts can be textured independently) and then some of KC Couture's latest heels which of course come with their usual humongous hud - just to clarify, humongous in options, not in size!

#402 ZsaZsa in the Sky with Earrings

Yeah I know the title is rubbish but I have not been feeling too good irl this week, and adding that to major pc issues, this little blogger is suffering both severe lack of energy and creativity block.  The good news is that hopefully my rescue from the pc nightmare should be landing on my desk very soon.

Anyway, today I wanted to share with you Sky Summerwind's first original mesh items, and I am seriously impressed, all three of these earrings are beautifully made with great features.  Can't wait to see what Sky comes up with next!
