If I was told I could only wear one outfit for the rest of my Second Life, I would choose this one.  The top and bottom are from two of my favourite SL designers, Doc Eldritch and Annie Melson, and are such a total pleasure to wear.  I fell in love this brand new shirt from DE Designs the minute I tried it on, and was trying to decide what to wear with it, when I remembered a previous release from Just Because that I hadn't yet blogged - these gorgeous suede pants.  

Both top and pants come in a plethora of colours, and are as good as it gets with fitted mesh, and both fit like a dream on my Maitreya Lara mesh body.  The textures are incredible, the creases and folds giving a truly realistic appearance.  Ok, I will stop there before I overdose on my own adjectives!

This post has taken me way longer than it should have, because I was doing it as a home & garden/fashion mix, even took all the pics, but then decided I hated them, binned them and am doing the two posts separately.  As you can see, ZZ is still having fun messing with her mesh heads, and took advantage of this great new pose pack by Nantra for The Instruments.  It comprises 6 poses plus mirrors, along with 2 mobile phone props with mirrors. 

These new ones capris from Doc Eldritch made me squee a bit, because I love capris and have struggled to find just the right pair - and now I have!  They are really well constructed, with realistic creases and shading and come in a great selection of colours (individual or fatpack), with a hud to change hardware and belt texture.  They are compatible with all the major mesh bodies (demo first of course!) plus classic avatar.

My shirt from Just Because comes in a plethora of beautiful colours and is compatible with Maiteya Lara, both Slink bodies and all the Belleza bodies.  Both of the designers featured have colour palettes that I adore - nothing so bright you need pixel sunglasses to look at them, but deep, rich gorgeous tones.  Add that to their fantastic original mesh builds and superlative textures, these are both designers I would recommend to anyone.

This quote is true for me, in all lives, I type this with my rl kitty snoring and purring at the same time on the arm of the sofa I am sitting on.  As for sl, I was struggling to find a good photo destination to take these pics, so decided to take them at home, and this usually means a kittycat of some sort will make a guest appearance.  A lot has been changing in the garden so I thought I would take some pics using some great camera poses from Le Poppycock.

My vest top is from DE Designs and fits absolutely perfectly on my Lara mesh body - it comes in a great range of colours, or a hud operated fat pack. It is compatible with all Belleza bodies, both Slink bodies, Maitreya Lara, and for standard avvies, a fitmesh version. I have teamed it with some recently updated boyfriend jeans from Lapointe & Bastchild.  My boots are new from Baby Monkey and can be bought in a classics hud, with the option to buy an extended hud.   They are compatible with Slink, Belleza and Maitreya mesh bodies, and also classic avvie.

This post is somewhat delayed as I have had a bit of a nightmare when my Lara mesh body corrupted, so I had to delete it and use a fresh one, which meant redoing all my saved outfits.  Also, I have also suddenly and belatedly (and about timely!), got the mesh head bug - I have had 4 of them for ages, but never quite felt like "me" in them.  That changed this week as I found an applier that I love, and yes, feels like me!  So as well as sorting out my mesh body problems, I also have to think about totally revamping all my outfits with a mesh head, so my little blogger head is spinning right now.  Anyway, expect much mesh headish gorgeousness on this blog very soon :).

#472 A triptych in the hand is as good as.....

....well, maybe not quite as good as a triptych on a blog

This is a first for me, just one pic, and a triptych at that - I have given myself a challenge - to get a post done, start to finish, in 2 hours.  To many bloggers that might be the norm, but I take a lot longer usually, and I want to "streamline" my blogging so I can show more good stuff.

So, my challenge involved putting the outfits together, choosing poses and location (I cheated and used my new home, on pretty much the only piece of furniture I have down right now!), writing credits and adding links, taking pics, tarting them up in Picmonkey (which means cropping, basically, plus triptyching for this one of course), loading pic to flickr, writing these words, and adding triptych.  Previewing and checking everything.  I have 2 minutes left, help!

Read the next two paragraph very fast without pausing for breath so you are sharing in my adrenalin rush.  So, get down to the 10 Fashion for Life sims - you have till the 20th to buy lots of goodies for a fantastic cause.  I have shown you three items from The Vintage Touch because I love them all and couldn't choose just one - there are lots of colours to choose from, I just went with blues because.....well, I just went with blues.  Oh, my nails are also from Fashion for Life and are lovely, though unfortunately you can't see them clearly.

Hang around the FLF sims too, as there is plenty of great entertainment going on too.  30 seconds to go - I will try to get more posts done before FLF closes, wish me luck!  Whoohoo, I did it, I did it!  Ok, adrenalin rush might be slightly hyperbolic, but not entirely :).  I apologise for the proliferation of exclamation marks in this post - please blame the adrenalin!

#463 Hipster Alert

As soon as I saw this outfit from from Entice for The Hipster Fair, I loved it - it is something I might wear in rl.  The outfit consists of the knotted top, pants, cardigan and ankle boots which I am not wearing as I love long boots with long cardigans so I am wearing a pair from my inventory.

There are 2 different packs of this outfit available, the basics I am wearing and a colours pack, each coming with a hud containing 3 mix and match texture options. 

As I chose the greyscale for my outfit, I chose a pop of colour with one of the options on the crazy hud of Amacci's new stylish short hair which is available at Tres Chic.   My poses are again from Exposeur who are having a massive sale to raise funds for a kitty who needs veterinary treatment.  Please see the flickr post here to learn more.

Zsa is busy moving into a new home and wanted to be comfortable, so is wearing her old faithful jeans from Lapointe & Bastchild, which are still pretty much her favourite jeans ever.  She has teamed them with an easy-to-wear halter top from Baby Monkey (which comes with a colour change hud) - although this only comes in standard sizes I didn't have to alpha out a single cut, it fits perfectly on my Maitreya Lara mesh body. 

My sneakers from K C Couture are another wardrobe staple, and come with KC's fantastic texture change hud. My lovely pony from Amacci is just perfect, and comes with two bang options.  I had fun using their "crazy" hud and really love this pretty blue fade - I might try another crazy colour soon :).  

This is my first real location shoot now that I have a pc that can handle it.  I am having fun exploring and finding places I can use for blog posts.  Big yay!

#448 Floating away on a tulle cloud

I am a huge lover of vintage clothing, particularly 50's, so on my first sl incarnation, almost 9 years ago, I searched the grid for months for some kind of 50's style circular skirt outfit.  I eventually found a couple - they weren't great but I still had fun dancing in the pretty flexis.

I am still drawn to vintage styling in sl, so I was thrilled when I saw this dress from Sakide at the Frost Fair.  It isn't actually a dress, it is a skirt and matching top, and comes in 6 gorgeous colours but as mine was the fatpack I have shown a few different mix and match options.  I totally love that frilly underskirt!  The delicate snowflake texture is really lovely, and the outfit itself just feels fresh, pretty and classy.

Each dress comes with a matching pair of shoes, but I have worn one of Baby Monkey's recent releases instead (admission time - this is because I didn't notice the shoes in the box till I had already taken the photos!).  My skin is one of the beautiful gifts in the 7 Deadly Skins group advent.

#443 Greetings from Persnickity

It's a long time since there was such a gap in my posts, but I have been ill irl - I am still not 100%, but trying to get some blogging done. I am not really in a very festive mood in either life, with this being my first Christmas without my mum (though she was in hospital last Christmas), and doubt I will decorate in either world.  For this reason I "borrowed" my friend Pet's Christmas shop as my backdrop.  Take a visit, she has lots of cute Christmas decor at extremely reasonable prices.

My fluffy jewelry set is by !IT!
