#448 Floating away on a tulle cloud

I am a huge lover of vintage clothing, particularly 50's, so on my first sl incarnation, almost 9 years ago, I searched the grid for months for some kind of 50's style circular skirt outfit.  I eventually found a couple - they weren't great but I still had fun dancing in the pretty flexis.

I am still drawn to vintage styling in sl, so I was thrilled when I saw this dress from Sakide at the Frost Fair.  It isn't actually a dress, it is a skirt and matching top, and comes in 6 gorgeous colours but as mine was the fatpack I have shown a few different mix and match options.  I totally love that frilly underskirt!  The delicate snowflake texture is really lovely, and the outfit itself just feels fresh, pretty and classy.

Each dress comes with a matching pair of shoes, but I have worn one of Baby Monkey's recent releases instead (admission time - this is because I didn't notice the shoes in the box till I had already taken the photos!).  My skin is one of the beautiful gifts in the 7 Deadly Skins group advent.

#'417 This must be Thursday

I never could get the hang of Thursdays - Douglas Adams

I absolutely LOVE these new pants from DE Designs, which come in 6 textures and are available either separately or in a hud operated fat pack.  These are a really quality mesh build with lots of little detailing and great textures.  I love each of them but  I immediately wanted to wear the camo texture (black and tan camo are also available) and build my outfit round them.  They are compatible with Maitreya, Slink and all three Belleza bodies, as well as fitmesh for classic avvie.

My shoes are from Essenz at My Attic, with a choice of 12 colours for just 95L, too good to miss - they are compatible with Maitreya and Slink high feet.  My poses (other than the nails close-up) are from Label Motion, also for My Attic.  For the picture left of the collage below, I used Animare just to tweak the position of my head slightly so it wasn't devoured by my jacket. 

My Attic at the Deck finishes on 31st - still time to pick up the many goodies available, if you hurry.

#377 The ultimate Amaryllis

My dress from Just Because is absolutely beautifully rigged, as is anything Annie Melson makes.  The creases are subtle, but really bring movement to the dress, making it feel very realistic.  The criss-crossing on the back is perfection, as with Annie's criss cross tank.  It comes in a choice of 14 colours, or a fat pack with a hud.  It is rigged for SLink Physique, Belleza (push up and standard), Maitreya and also standard sizes for classic avatar.  I am wearing it on Belleza standard and it fits like a glove, not a single alpha tweak required - and with the criss crossing, this is amazing work.  

The selection of colours for this dress is extensive but I  really wanted to show this gorgeous rich burnt orange shade which didn't work well with my usual red hair, so I decided to go blonde for a change,. Piper is one of two new releases for Elikatira at Collabor88, so you can get it for a reduced price until June's Collabor88 ends. 

My shoes are from Glamistry and thanks to their ingenious hud system are very versatile. If you are new to Glamistry, however many colours you buy appear in a hud, allowing you to mix and match.  The more colours you buy the more combinations available.  You can buy new colours via the hud, so they are available right away and you don't even have to leave home to shop!  I have given a close up here just to give you an idea of how gorgeous the textures are - the leather is wonderfully realistic. Thankfully it is pixel leather so as a vegetarian I can still wear them :).  I don't think anyone on the grid creating shoes right now can compare with the artistry of Glamistry.

#375 Harmony is all I need

First Life has conspired against this little sl blogger this week, giving me major internet access issues which appear to be fixed now thankfully.  However, I am crashing repeatedly while doing shoots, so actually getting these pics done took me about 15 relogs.  To make it worse I had already done a full shoot for this outfit, uploaded them to flickr and then sat and looked at the pics and thought "not good enough" so I deleted them and started all over again with some tweaks, totally new background, new poses, the lot.  I did this with my next post too, but for different reasons.

Soooo today's outfit is fun, summery newness from Sky.  As you would expect from Sky Summerwind, the textures are fantastic.  The dress and SLink high heels are bought separately but they both coming in four "flavours" accessible via hud (great for lazy people like me!).  I absolutely love the vibrant tie dye style explosion of colour in all four choices.  I had no issues at all fitting this dress to my Slink Physique.

My skin is new from PXL for  We Love Roleplay.  It comes in two tones with 3 make-ups in each, and with lots of extras such as varying levels of freckles, various cleavage options and a special tattoo that I will reveal in my next post.   

My hair is one of two new styles from Elikatira which are debuting at this month's Collabor88. I love the casual choppiness and loose strands, and the Elikatira reds are definitely some of the best.  My nails are from a new to me designer, Alia Whitfield of Blissiere. These are from one of her instore gachas - they are only 50L a go and well worth a play as her designs are very fresh, vibrant and fun.

#363 Radiance of a Different Kind

Today I wanted to share this beautiful new skin from Lumae, which is available for 75L at the Lumae mainstore.  You can choose from 8 different tones - I am wearing #3, Rosy.  Lumiya Rae is one of the most generous skin makers in sl - for your 75L you not only get this gorgeous skin with various eyebrow and freckle options, you also get every applier you could possibly need!  And I really mean that - as well as appliers for all the major mesh bodies and heads, you also get petite avvie, baby bump, and mouth appliers.  I adore the freckles you get with Lumae skins, so fresh and youthful.  I have added my own eyebrows and a slick of lipstick in these pics just because I rarely wear a skin as it comes out of the box, I like to add bits and pieces to make it mine.

I have no idea how long this skin will be available at this price, so if you want it at this amazing price, run!

#356 It's all about the Lace

Today I am wearing the full Maitreya Lara, including hands and feet.  I am so glad that more designers are creating for Lara, even though the files haven't been released, as she is definitely my go-to mesh bod at the moment.  I am finding most items experimentally rigged to Lara work pretty well with only minor tweaks to the alpha needed. My shoes are from Mundos and come with a mammoth texture change hud and rigged for TMP, Maitreya, SLink and Belleza.

My corset dress is another quality item from DE Designs and comes in the tan I am wearing, plus red, vamp, purple, blue and  black.  Each colour can bought separately or in a fat pack, and each pack includes dresses rigged for Belleza Venus (push up and natural), Maitreya Lara and SLink Physique, as well as classic avatar.  I have added some close-ups of the dress so you can see both the wonderful texturing on the front, and the intricate lace work at the back - you get a hud with a choice of 7 lace colour and 2 hardware colours .  

I am including another couple of close-ups so you can see the stunning new skin from WoW, which is available from the 25th at Gangsta Fair.  There are five tones to choose from with six make-ups (including natural) in each pack.  

I also wanted to show more of this incredible jewelry set from Freya at Mon Cheri.  I have no idea how she does it, but I am so  glad she does!  The set comes with a hud with a choice of 12 main colours and 6 metal choices for each for each colour, so it really is incredibly versatile as well as gorgeous.

#301 No snakes were harmed in the making of this blog post

My skin is brand new from ::WoW Skins::, and is exclusive for the Big Show, which is open now and finishes January 30th.  This stunning skin is available in 5 skin tones - I always have trouble deciding which tone to wear as they are all so gorgeous, but eventually I made a decision (not easy for a Libran!), and am wearing the bronze.


Today's outfit is courtesy of KC Couture - the mini dress actually comes with a pair of black SLink shoes, but I had fallen in love with the shoes shown here so I am wearing them instead.  This cute mini dress comes with a texture change hud allowing an incredible 40 independent choices of texture for the belt and dress.  If I was any good at maths I would tell you how many combinations you could make, but I'm not, so I won't!
   

These fabulous shoes, again from KC Couture,  come with their generous texture change hud, allowing 40 independent choices of texture for the main body of the shoe, snake, gem (eye) and heel.  An even bigger maths problem, makes my head spin to even think of it!
