#441 An ode to the Perfect Pair of Pixel Pants

Ok, I confess, I haven't written an ode to my pants, I am not that weird (some might disagree), but I do think these are amongst my favourite pants in sl, ever.  Brand new from Just Because at Uber, they fit like a dream and look incredible - the texturing is sheer perfection.  They are also very versatile - I have gone for a fairly casual look but they would be just as easy to dress up with a smart top or jacket.  Adding to the versatility, the belt is separate so you can wear the pants with or without.

The Editor Slacks are not only compatible with Maitreya Lara, Slink Physique & Slink Hourglass, Maitreya Lara, Belleza Freya, Isis and Venus and 5 standard mesh sizes, but also come in two lengths so they work with different heel sizes.  I have no clue how Annie Melson does it, but I am very glad she does!  I have shown just a few but you have an array of gorgeous colours to choose from, so zip along to Uber and pick up your perfect pixel pants!

The top I have teamed with the pants is by DE Designs, and is again an item that you can just pop on and go - how I love items rigged perfectly to the mesh bodies!  The Stephanie Tops is another beautifully made and textured item, available in 8 colors with a hud included to change hardware colors.  It is compatible with Maitreya Lara, Belleza Venus, Isis and Freya, Slink Physique and Hourglass, and fitted mesh for classic avatar.  A hud controlled fatpack is also available.

My boots are a recent release from KC Couture and come with an absolutely humoungous (in options, not size) texture change hud enabling you to customise them in every way you could possibly wish.  100% original mesh, they are compatible with the medium feet of Maitreya, Belleza, Slink (and Slink compatible feet) and TMP.

#411 When love feels like magic, you call it destiny...

I was putting this outfit together when some gacha items from the upcoming WearHouse event landed in my inbox - and serendipitously, the theme this round is boho.  

So here I give you two sneak peeks from WearHouse which opens on the 13th.  First off my dainty headpiece with gem drop is from Swagged Out's gacha at WearHouse - there are 3 metals & 8 different gems to win. My hair from Elikatira comes with an optional circlet, which I will show next time I blog this hair.  A previous We love Roleplay item, it will be available on the Elikatira mp store very soon.

The second gacha goodie from WearHouse is the boho bracelet by Strike It shown above (close-up below). Strike It also have a boho watch available at the event.  Funny thing, but I haven't worn a watch irl for as long as I can remember, and it would feel really alien to wear one in sl, so I have never done so, but the watch is very pretty and matches the bracelet perfectly.

I was thrilled to see a new boho set from Candace Hudson because she does them so well., and I love how in this outfit she has brought together a mesh top and flexi skirt so you get the fantastic textures and shape of the top, and the life and movement of the skirt. Below are close-ups of my jewelry, the ankle chains come with KC Couture's fantastic texture change huds allowing you to customise all the areas to your heart's content.

#409 Just a very pretty happy hippy

My hair today is new from Elikatira for FaMESHed, and Elika has done it again, produced a really stunning "do", which is quite different to anything else you can see on the grid.  I love her huds which give you a choice of plain colours or ombre, and I decided to go down the ombre path today, with the deliciously named tamale crunch.

One of the things I like about the weekly sales (as opposed to the big events held in one place) is that you get to visit stores you might not otherwise have found.  This is how I found Siss Boom a few weeks ago and I have become a big fan of her designs, and i am sure this is not the last time I will feature her designs on this blog.  I apologise that Color Me Project, where I found these poses by Frozen, has now closed - pc issues have delayed my posting till now - but hopefully the poses will appear in the main store soon.

#408 Blogging by the skin of my teeth

I have to finish this blog post quickly as Sakide's Smoking Jacket is available at the Vintage and Cool Fair which ends today.  It is available in an array of delicious colours and each pack has a plain jacket and one with either black or white lapels. it comes in five standard sizes but I was able to fit it to Maitreya Lara with some alpha tweaks.

My necklace and earring set is just one of a number that Indulge Temptations has available for 60L each till 9th of September midnight for 55LThursday.  They are 100% mesh, materials enabled, HUD driven, resizable (x,y,z), and depending on which pack you buy, have up to 10 bead colour options and 10 metal types.

My heels from Glamistry probably need nothing more than just to leave you to drool at them in the close up below.  However, in case you have been living under a pixel rock for a while and are new to Glamistry, I will just tell you that as well as making some of the most drool-worthy shoes in sl, Glamistry's hud allows you to purchase more colours directly from the hud itself, and every colour you buy is added to the pool from which you can customise multiple areas.

#407 Season of Mists and Mellow Fruitfulness

Why am I quoting Keats?  Well, Autumn is on its way, and the last few days I have felt a little quiet, reflective and somewhat withdrawn.  It has been over 6 months now since my mum passed away, and I can still hardly believe it.  She is never far from my mind but sometimes it hits me harder, and when it does I hide away (in my burrow, says the only rl friend who knows of this blog).

 Snowpaws has never been a store I frequent often, for no particular reason I can think of, but when I saw an advert for this outfit (top and skrit are bought together) on sale at Designer Showcase, it looked just right for my mood.  So off I went to pick it up and it really is a delight to wear, very soft and gentle and muted, wearing it feels a bit like being enclosed by a soft very pretty cloud.  The tulle is beautifully done, and I managed to fit it to my Maitreya Lara mesh body with not too much tweaking.  To match the whole soft mood I even wanted to mute my hair, so no red today, just a pretty light blonde.  

On a lighter note, one of my favourite people in sl tp'd me this afternoon after I was putting the finishing touch to this outfit and the first words out of her mouth when I had rezzed were "you are blonde!", which shows how rarely I do it.  The first words out of my mouth when she rezzed were "boobies!".  She always insists she is fully clothed, but rarely is - I shouldn't be surprised, Tomm''s affectionate nickname for her is "Flash" :).

My jewelry is from a "new to me" store, Meva, who I only discovered at My Attic last month, and I blogged their jewelry set here.  I wandered down to their mainstore and found a treasure trove of goodies - I picked up the group gift and a few other things and I am sure they will all appear on this blog in the near future. Both the necklace and bangle I am wearing come with huge texture change huds which is always a massive plus for me.

#400 In search of Dragonflies

I really love it when something arrives in my inventory and inspires a blog post.  Today's catalyst was this stunning crown from Zuri Rayna.  It comes in an array of gorgeous colours, but I remembered something in my inventory that this colour would be just perfect with.  The crown is on sale at Fair Play along with other items from Zuri, and will return to full price when the event is over.

My skin is the current Lazy Sunday item from the incredibly generous Lumiya Ray of Lumae.  For just 75L you get the skin in your choice of tone, with eyebrow colours, freckles and cleavage layers, mod shape, and every body and head applier that you could possibly want.  I used the no brow option and went hunting for a coloured or tintable eyebrow, and I found this amazing set from Mynx Legend which includes a selection of eyebrows tintable to whatever shade you wish.

My hair is one of the 3 styles Sisch Firecaster of KoKoLoReS has available at the current round of We Love Roleplay.  I really love her huds which give you such a wide array of colours and tones, and you don't have to choose just one colour family.

My outfit from Posh Pixels is their contribution to the Lexi Project - for further info check out the blog The Lexi Project.  It comprises the dress, wings and strap boots.  The wings are absolutely beautiful, so gauzy and delicate.  There is a circlet with the outfit but I chose to wear Zuri Rayna's gorgeous crown.

#384 Ice Blue in SL

June is Wedding Month at Zuri Jewelry and this is just one of the many beautiful sets available at 25% off during June, and if you are a group member you will get another 25% refunded if you wear your tag.  These are true statement pieces and whether you are getting married or going to a formal ball, this set will really get you noticed.

I started this post off with the jewelry, and then I had a hunt for a gown to go with them. Luckily I remembered Sharodie who does lovely mesh/flexi mixes.  The gown I am wearing here cost just $29L, and the flexi pieces work beautifully with the mesh gown.   I am mesh body-less in this post simply because none of the bodies I use enabled the right alpha cuts to wear with this gown.
