#363 Radiance of a Different Kind

Today I wanted to share this beautiful new skin from Lumae, which is available for 75L at the Lumae mainstore.  You can choose from 8 different tones - I am wearing #3, Rosy.  Lumiya Rae is one of the most generous skin makers in sl - for your 75L you not only get this gorgeous skin with various eyebrow and freckle options, you also get every applier you could possibly need!  And I really mean that - as well as appliers for all the major mesh bodies and heads, you also get petite avvie, baby bump, and mouth appliers.  I adore the freckles you get with Lumae skins, so fresh and youthful.  I have added my own eyebrows and a slick of lipstick in these pics just because I rarely wear a skin as it comes out of the box, I like to add bits and pieces to make it mine.

I have no idea how long this skin will be available at this price, so if you want it at this amazing price, run!

#362 Franky Happens

Today's outfit is comprised of two original mesh separates from Ducknipple which come with a great texture change hud allowing plenty of customisation.  I am wearing them on my Maitreya Lara mesh body and only very minimal alpha tweaking was required. 

I am a big fan of asymetricality (no, that isn't a real word but it works for me) so I really appreciate the design of this jacket, it's got everything going for it as it has studs and zips as well as being asymetrical.  It comes in five sizes plus fitted which I am wearing. The tank comes in the same range of sizes and is separate to the jacket so you can wear either on their own.  They come with a hud allowing a choice of 12 colours for each.

The pants fit really well too, come in 5 sizes and a choice of 12 colours via hud. I like the length as I sometimes find that pants are either too short or too long.  These are just right and would work well with boots but I have paired them with one of my favourite pairs of sandals from KC Couture, which also come with a hud offering 40 different textures for each of four shoe parts.

Finally, my skin, another of Sawsan Secretspy's gorgeous new faces, Kimm is debuting at Designer Circle this month in a choice of five tones.  The lips are "just enough gloss but not too much" in a beautiful delicate pink shade which goes so well with the touch of delicate blush on Kimm's cheeks.

#361 The Low-Down on Layla

DE Designs, one of my favourite designers for items rigged to the various mesh bodies, have just released a new vest, Layla, available in both leather and fabric.  Each vest comes fitted for Maitreya, SLink, classic avvie and Belleza (push up and standard) and a selection of five colours which can be bought separately or in a fat pack.  I am wearing them on Belleza Venus push-up and the fitting is faultless.  

Above are the leather Layla choices - black, buck, red, old leather and tan. I am wearing them with another DE Designs item, Tori pants in both leather and fabric, which are again rigged to the various mesh bodies. Available in 4 leather and 3 fabric textures, either separately or in fat packs, they make it very easy to put together outfits that are as easy to wear as they are to put on - by which I mean just wear, no faffing with the mesh body alpha.

Below are the fabric vests - I particularly like the pinstripes which you can get in either red, black or grey, the other textures are blue and forest.

#360 There's nothing like Perpetua (specially at half price!)

One of my favourite places for gowns was always Kouse's Sanctum so I was sad when Krystal/Kouse decided to close her gown store and concentrate on her jewelry, which I also love of course.  I was thrilled to find out that she is back producing some stunning mesh gowns, one of which I am showing here in a variety of colours.  Above are lilac and wine, below are ruby and ocean.

#359 Dancing Undiscovered

Tomm and I were going to go for a short break to celebrate 8 blissful months of married life.  We decided on The Galaxy but sadly when we went to book, we found it was closing last weekend.  So instead, we bought a beautiful new house and are going to have our getaway at home :).  I have of course been having great fun knocking down walls and removing windows etc - and have only deleted the house itself once!  The house is just perfect, with enough room for me to set up my studio which will make blogging a lot easier, and also a room where I can set up home furnishing blog posts.

As I have a ton of good stuff to blog, I took a break from decorating to do a blog post I have been meaning to do for ages, sharing these fabulous jeans from Just Because. They are fitted beautifully to SLink Physique, Maitreya Lara, Belleza and classic avatar, with a choice of curvy or standard in each. There are 12 different tones and you can buy them individually or the fat pack which comes with a hud to change texture.  I have shown a few of the different colours, paired with a cute little blouse I picked up at Hilly Hilaan, and which comes with a hud allowing 5 colour choices and gold or silver chains.

My perfect little flatties are new from Mundos and come with not one but two huds, one plain and one cheetah, each allowing you to change 5 separate areas individually in any of 49 textures.  I have used the basic texture pack here.  You also get pairs rigged for Maitreya Lara, Belleza Venus, SLink Physique, and TMP. 

I am wearing one of my favourite skins from PXL.  I had never tried their skins until the last Skin Fair, but I am really loving the details, the tones, the eyebrow shape and the make-up choices - well pretty much everything about them really!

#358 Destiny will get you everywhere

This original mesh dress by Ducknipple didn't jump at me from the advert, but that changed as soon as I tried it on.  It really is original, unlike anything I have seen before and I love the poofy pockets, the ruffles, and the strapping and hardware. Of course with it being from Ducknipple, there is a texture change hud to play with - 10 options for the sweater, 2 for the dress.

These fabulous shoes from KC Couture debuted at April's 21Shoe, and I was a happy little blogger when they released the full pack.  They are original mesh, beautifully made, and for the price of less than one pair of shoes from other designers, you also get a hud giving 24 independent options for main, heel and straps, 6 for the sole and 2 for the hardware.  I have added a close up of another combination at the end of this post.

I wanted some specs for this post, but I rarely wear glasses in sl and have very few in my inventory, so I was pleased to find these beautifully crafted Softpaw ones from Krystal.

#357 Purple Musings with (invisible) flowers in my hair

I have been a fan of Ivey Deschanel's work for as long as I can remember, she has a unique way with texturing that really brings great personality to all she creates for Sn@tch.  

My skirt and top are separates - you get 8 colours in each pack, in your size of choice (obviously, demo first). However, it appears that Ivey has changed this system with the new releases, and you get a pack of all sizes and colours, with a choice of copy/mod or trans/mod.  I think I will like this system better, because till now I had to be careful how many pixel cookies I ate in case I got too fat for the size I had chosen for my items from Sn@tch.  Tomm is the cook in this family so I will be asking for lots of freshly baked pixel cookies :).

My cute floral flatties are from Illi and come with his wonderful hud giving 12 choices for main texture, 12 for deco, 4 for alternate deco, and 4 for the base, but also a colour picker so you can basically colour your sandals whatever way your little heart desires.

It is a long time since I have tried any hair from Tameless but I am really impressed with this one - the texturing, choice of colours and style.  As well as a hud to change the colour (packs are fantasy, fades, or naturals) it also comes with a hud to change the head band texture, plus a colour picker that allows you to alter the tone of your texture choice.

#355 Me, My Chair and a great big Hud

I love this outfit (top, jeans and belt) which comes with Shey's usual mega-customizability-hud allowing changes to jeans (15), top (20), buttons (5), and belt (5). The range of choice is great, whether you want something muted or something bright. Of course, being a big kid when it comes to texture change huds, I had to make the most of it and show you some combinations along with the chair animations.

I spent ages trying to find shoes or boots to go with the jeans as I am so not a flares-kind-of-girl usually (yet I love this outfit).  I could find nothing in my inventory that I was happy with, almost all my heels are stilletto and I wanted something more chunky. 

Serendipitously, I saw a 55L list which included Lavalle shoes.  I had never actually worn Lavalle before but had a vague memory of chunky heels, and within seconds of setting foot in the store I pounced on these boots which were just what I was looking for.  I have listed in the credits the colours used.  I must mention Lindsey Warwick's fantastic customer service, I could not have asked for more - thank you Lindsey!

The chair and poses are from Infiniti for The Pose Fair.  Infiniti's poses and props are always top notch and this chair is no different.  The wood and seat are texture change, and loaded with 17 quality animations.  There are some good upside down anims but I thought they were a bit risky in this top!

#347 Some kinda gamine meets a whole heapa ramblings

I am on a bit of a "short hair" kick at the moment so when I saw this one from Argrace I just had to go and check it out - and fell in love.  Though I have never had short hair in my life (apart from when it was not my choice), I have always admired women like Audrey Hepburn who could/can carry the gamine look off.  I really like the way this hair looks on Zsa, though her gorgeous skin has a part to play in that too - it is new from WoW, exclusive to the Designer Circle, and available in 5 different tones.

I was going to make this a huge blog post so I could show you more of the choices of this lovely little skirt from DE Designs, one of my favourite places for mesh rigged to mesh bodies.  However, I realised it would take me a while, so instead I will show them in different blog posts.  Will give you a bit of info though - they come in three choices - plaid, leather and fabrics.  No prizes for guessing which one I am showing here :).  The plaids are also available in red, black and tan, and in each pack you get the skirt rigged for Belleza, SLink, Maitreya and classic avatar.  Fatpacks are available.  I am wearing the Maitreya and had to do no tweaking at all.

The sneakers from Phunk and come with a texture change hud allowing 15 main colours, 6 choices of logo, and 8 choices for laces.  They are unisex, and very easy to resize.

My top is from one of my favourite shops, Sn@tch, but for some reason I have not really blogged much of their stuff, so I am going to try and feature them a bit more.  Their system works a bit differently to most stores but is very easy - you try on a demo, choose the size that fits, and then get the 8 colours in your size of choice.

My SLink nails are from the lovely Maia of Hello Dave and as they can't be seen properly in the pics, I have put the ad below.  I really really love the way she has combined fingers and toes on one hud.  I mean really really. Some day I should do a screenshot to show how many huds I have on my screen when I am putting together a blog post - it is a case of shifting them all round so I can peep around them to actually see my avvie.  So losing one hud is a very positive thing.  Thanks Maia!
