#406 A dress on Isis is better than two in the inventory

In today's post I am wearing some newness and some "been in my inventory a while, time to blog" stuff.  My gorgeous skin is new from PXL exclusively for Festival of Sin.  Available in Sunkissed or Pale, each skin contains: 4 eyebrows color/options (embedded on the skin), Tintable Eyebrows tattoo, Freckle Tattoos (3 shading). Moles Tattoos (3 shadings), Cleavage Tattoos (2 options), 3 LipGloss shading on Tattoo, Nail eraser on a glove, SweetLips Appliers.  Appliers for Slink, Maitreya and Belleza bodies are available separately and other appliers are available in the PXL mainstore.  I have chosen the no eyebrow option and have added some from Belleza.

My lovely, easy to wear dress from DE Designs comes in both solid and patterned choices.  I am wearing the patterned in the above pics, and have shown you the other pattern options below.  Beautifully rigged, it is compatible with Belleza Venus/Isis, Maitreya and Slink, and also classic avatar fitmesh.  It fits like a dream and can be bought singly or in extremely reasonable fat packs.  

Compatible with Belleza, Slink, Maitreya and TMP, my shoes from KC Couture come with an incredibly generous hud allowing you to change every part of the shoe separately.  Next to the shoes I have shown you the solid colours of the DE Designs dress - it is hard to show, but the colours are not just bland non-textured colours, they all have a very subtle self pattern which brings life and dimension.

#401 Patience saves me

I have been a little slow blogging the last few weeks due to technical issues (read between the lines for "my pc is dying").  It is making taking photos very difficult, but in between crashes and freezing, I am coping, sort of - but it is taking a lot longer than usual and is a lesson in extreme patience, gritting my teeth and not giving up.

My classy sunnies are from Glamistry so of course come with a fantastic hud enabling you to choose from an array of colours to texture the different areas.  My skin is a new make up in the lovely Shara range by PXL, and is available at the current We Love to Roleplay.  You can choose from pale or sunkissed, and each choice includes 3 brand new make-ups plus 5 eyebrow choices and a variety of freckle, mole and cleavage tattoos.

My dress and jacket are both by DE Designs. and fit very well to whatever mesh body you choose - for me today it is Maitreya Lara.  The jacket and dress are bought separately but the jacket fits really well over the dress so I decided to show it this way.  Doc has made the jacket slightly bigger so it can be layered over other mesh items - so no more frustration at being only able to wear applier layers under a jacket.  The dress comes rigged for Belleza Venus, Isis and Freya, Maitreya Lara, Slink Physique plus classic avatar 5 standard sizes plus alpha, the jacket for the same mesh bodies plus fitmesh.  You can buy each colour separately or choose a fatpack which you can customise via the hud.  I am wearing the leather dress but you can also buy it in fabric. 

My towering shoes from Glamistry come of course with his fantastic hud system and fitted to Belleza, Maitreya and Slink.  They are absolutely gorgeous, but I look at them and imagine trying to walk in them irl - broken ankles all round I think - thank goodness for unbreakable pixels!

#396 The lazy avatar's guide to effortless dressing

My post is so titled because my whole outfit today comes with texture change huds - so wear 'em, click 'em, and everyone will think you just pulled your outfit straight out of the laundry pile, freshly washed and ironed (does anyone still iron these days?).

Today I am sharing some newness and also some go-to items from my inventory.  I don't wear brown much in sl (and never irl - it reminds me of my yucky school uniform), but I think maybe my state of mind irl led me to darker colours (it would have been my mum's birthday last week, and yesterday was five months since she passed away, and I struggle at times to deal with it), but I didn't want to do black, so brown won.  

This cute skirt from DE Designs comes in leather (worn here), plaid and fabric. It is available in single colours with which you get a hud allowing you to change the texture of the band and hardware, or fatpacks operated by hud.  You will receive skirts rigged for Belleza Venus, Freya and Isis, Maitreya Lara, Slink Physique, classic avatar fitted, and standard mesh sizes.  

My top from Just Because fits perfectly and is of course beautifully made - it comes in a large selection of colours from brights to darks to neutrals, and can be bought singly or in a fat pack, and comes rigged for Belleza Venus Freya and Isis, Maitreya Lara, Slink Physique and classic avatar standard sizing.

My jacket from Lapointe & Bastchild is an oldie but a goodie, and of course texture change - I love the distressed leather texture which makes it look very real, particularly in this colour.

I am wearing another set of jewellery by Indulge Temptation, a new-to-me designer, and who I featured for the first time in an earlier post here, wearing a different set of this design.  I am really loving both the design and texture change options in their jewellery and will definitely be looking out for more from them.

My boots from Glamistry are a work of pixel art as you would expect from him - and as always come with his ingenious hud system which allows you to add new colours from your living room (or anywhere in sl for that matter).  You will only ever have one pair of shoes in your inventory - and even better, each new colour is added to the "pool" from which you can customise your footwear.

#394 Bella Poses Prettily

I have lots of lovely newness to show you today so will work from the head down.  My hair is a new release from Exile at the Hair Fair.  To be honest, I wasn't all that keen on the demo but I have a thing about messy updos so I took a chance - I am so glad I did, I love it now and am sure it will appear again on this blog.

My skin is new from PXL for The Wayward Carnival - it comes in pale and natural tones, both with new make-ups for the lovely Shara skin. Each skin pack contains dark, light, medium and no brow skins, 3 freckle tattoos, 3 mole tattoos, 2 cleavage tattoos (2 options), 3 lip gloss tattoos, nail eraser on a glove, SweetLips appliers.  I have added a lip colour simply because the lips on the skin were lovely, but didn't work with this outfit.

Also new is the PXL body freckles applier which includes 3 different tones giving the ability to match with any skin.  You get 2 densities of freckles and 2 transparencies. The appliers work with the latest mesh bodies from Maitreya, Belleza & Slink and are compatible with all skins on SL.  This hud is available at the PXL store for the MIX event.

My cute dresses from Somnia are also for Mix and are only 200L for each color set - dark or light.  they come with a hud allowing you to change the dress, belt fabric, laces and hardware separately.  I am showing the darks above and the lights below.  They are cross compatible so you can mix and match.  Although not specifically rigged for Maitreya Lara, it was easy to get them to fit with a few alpha cuts.  I know I will wear this a lot, it is so easy to wear and has a light and fresh feeling to it - even the darks!

My cute flatties are a recent release from KC Couture and come with their fantastic texture change hud allowing you to change independently the textures for main, cord, stars, 3 separate jewels, insole and sole. They come fitted for Maitreya, Eve, Belleza and Slink. 

And finally, my mani/pedi is from Wicked Peach who have just moved to a new location, and I recommend a visit, they have some fabulous make-up and they are well worth a visit. One of the things that made this little blogger very happy is that their nail appliers include not only Slink appliers but Belleza and Maitreya too.  I am including their advert below because you can't really see them in my pics.

#391 Who bought all the Hair?

Hair Fair is one of my favourite annual events for two reasons - obviously the hair, but more importantly, every year money is raised for Wigs for Kids, a cause close to my heart.  I am still going through my boxes but wanted to share this gorgeous hair from Fiore, my first ever hair from them.  

I am also showing you a few more things from My Slink Obsession (MSO) and reminding you that you have till the 22nd to snatch up some of the goodies on offer.  My props are from Repose for MSO, and come with 5 poses and the appropriate bags for each pose.  My wedges are from B!asta, again for MSO, and come in a variety of great colours, each of which give you a choice of 4 different colours via hud for the wedge part.  My dress from Indyra is not from MSO, but I love it anyway - very easy to wear with my Slink Physique, it also comes with a hud giving 6 colour choices.

#387 My Slink Obsession, now open!

The revamped My Slink Obsession reopens tomorrow, bringing you a plethora of goodies specially made for your Slink body parts.  In this first MSO sneak peek I am showing you lip colours, nails and poses that you can purchase when MSO opens tomorrow.  

I have used a natural PXL skin as the base to show you these yummy lip colours from KoKoLoReS.  Sisch is one of the sweetest, most hard working people I know in SL, as well as being one of the most stylish, and it is always a great pleasure to share some of her items on my blog. There are two packs of lip colours available at MSO, the first being the Soft Lips shown above, and the second are the Colour Pop Lips, shown below.

Each pack includes 5 colours - these packs along with the eye bags (not shown) all come with appliers for Slink Visage, Lelutka and Eve heads, but also in tattoo layer which I am using here.  There is also a tattoo with appliers for Slink, Maitreya and Omega systems, and again tattoo layer also.  

Nails worn with the Soft Lips are from the A.S.S. In Darkness 2 set, and the Dark Horse Style Blush set.  With the Colour Pop lips I have used nails from the A.S.S. In Darkness sets 1 & 2, and their Meadow Picnic sets 1 & 2.

My poses are from Signature Pose, again for MSO, and I have used the Nicki set for these pictures.  My hair is one of Elikatira's recent releases, and it probably goes without saying that the hud includes a vast array of textures for the hairband/bow - put a texture change hud in my hands and you will keep me happily quiet for hours!

#376 Return of the Fawn

I am sharing again the gorgeous PXL skin from this month's We Love Roleplay, which I showed here without the branch tattoos.  I love everything about this skin, it is so fresh and pure and I adore the little branch tattoo - all the better as a tattoo layer so you can wear the skin with or without. Shara comes in two tones with 3 make-ups each, plus other goodies like freckle and cleavage tattoos.

Serendipitously, I received a notice from Indyra about this outfit which comes with the fawn antler head-dress and thought it would work well with the skin.  Both dress and headpiece come with texture change huds giving 5 matching options each, all of them very pretty.  Although it only comes in standard sizes, there were no issues at all wearing the Indyra maxi with my SLink Physique.

My unusual turquoise palette foot jewels from Sky were hiding under my dress so I dragged them out for a pic - they come with a texture change hud giving you three texture choices.
