Rise against the wind

Today I bring you brand new items from Tres Chic, ULTRA, Collabor88 and Whore Couture.

I have been running round in this outfit for about 3 days, unable to find poses or props that felt right, till I went to Tres Chic and saw this prop set from Frozen.  it comes with 5 poses and 5 kite props.  I LOVE this Teefy top for Collabor88, so much so that I keep running back to pick up another colour while they are still at C88.  I am a huge Lapointe & Bastchild fan so I ran very quickly to pick up these boho style jean shorts from ULTRA, and I am not disappointed, they fit perfectly and I love the texture change hud they come with.  

I did tell Zsa that kiting should not really be done in high heels but as always, she wouldn't listen.  Her shoes are brand new from Essenz, and to seek them out I paid my first ever visit to Whore Couture.  I was actually flipping between C88, home and Whore Couture while working out which top and shoe choices I liked best.

#530 ZsaZsa finds the light

Today I bring you brand new releases from Mesh Body Addicts, Hairology, The Makeover Room, Cosmopolitan and The Crossroads.

The eagle eyed amongst you might have noticed something different about my previous two posts.  To be honest, I didn't expect anyone to notice anything, but then I got a message from my friend Tin: "OMG I am looooving your most recent photos look 528 and 529!!!  What is different???? Shadows?  You are definitely doing something different!"  

That difference is, quite simply that I have taken my Lumipro out of it's box again.  I only used it a bit last year because of stuff I was going through in real life which made it hard to concentrate on new things.  So, I am basically back to square one, a complete noob.  I have been watching videos and practicing, practicing, practicing, getting frustrated with myself, then practicing some more.   

I hate asking for help, I like to find my own solutions, so wasted two whole days on my platform.  I couldn't get the lights to work, going over and over it step by step again and again, logging off in frustration, then logging back in to try again.  Just after I finally gave in and asked for help, I found it - the lights are attached to the model, me in this case, so if you don't check "display attached lights" you ain't gonna see em!  As a side note, the customer support from Samantha at Lumipro is fantastic.

This is the reason that this post is about 4 days later than it should be.  After Tin's IM I l compared the pics on my last two posts, and the previous ones and Tin was so right, all I could think of the older ones was "ugh, flat".  So it is Lumipro all the way now - please bear with me while I learn!

Onto the outfit - my top is brand new from Just Because for Mesh Body Addicts.  This corset style top is absolute perfection, coming in Annie Melson's gorgeous palette of colours, and beautifully hugging the curves of my Maitreya Lara.  It comes with a texture change hud allowing you to change the colour of the beads.  I think this top would be wonderful as part of a long gown - hint, hint, Annie!  Anyway, I am not going to blah blah any more, there is enough text here already, so I will just say that a lot of other items I am showing you are also brand new at various events, all details below.

ZZ was doing some exploring today and found herself on this rainy city sim, realised she had no jacket with her and had to phone a friend to come and rescue her before the rain ruined her new tank from DE Designs.  It comes in a selection of plains and patterns of which I have shown just a few.  I just love the criss cross detailing - I am sure there is a better word but it's late here and my brain is only about 27% awake, so criss crossing it is.

I am in love with this new hair from KoKoLoReS, which will be available at the next Hairology which opens on the 10th.  ZZ is wearing the balayage hud.  In case you have not heard the word before (as I hadn't till I got this hair pack), it is French and means to sweep or paint. This gives it a more natural sun-kissed look which I really like, very gentle soft waves.  Other huds are available if you prefer them but I really love this look, and with any of Sisch's huds, you get a fantastic selection of colours.

#481 Young & Beautiful

This post has been a while coming as I am suffering a lot of hypos at the moment which have made it hard to put together a blog post.  I have been attempting but not liking the results - this is my third shoot for this outfit!   Things will improve as I tweak my insulin and get my blood sugars balanced, meanwhile I will keep on keeping on, just maybe a bit slower than usual.

I am still having fun experimenting with my mesh heads, and seeing what I can achieve by tweaking the sliders.  I am really loving this applier from WoW, one of their earlier releases and which comes with a choice of eye and lip make-ups, and various choices for freckles and beauty spots.  

I love these original mesh shorts and crop sweater from Entice which are available at Project Se7en until April 30.  They are exceptionally well made, and fit my Maitreya Lara mesh body like a dream.  You can choose from a wide variety of matching or contrasting colours, or go for the fat pack and mix and match to your heart's content.  There are also applier tights available which I am not showing.  

My heels are brand new from KC Couture atTres Chic, and are absolutely fabulous.  They come with a texture change hud allowing independent texturing of multiple faces for ultimate customisation.

This quote is true for me, in all lives, I type this with my rl kitty snoring and purring at the same time on the arm of the sofa I am sitting on.  As for sl, I was struggling to find a good photo destination to take these pics, so decided to take them at home, and this usually means a kittycat of some sort will make a guest appearance.  A lot has been changing in the garden so I thought I would take some pics using some great camera poses from Le Poppycock.

My vest top is from DE Designs and fits absolutely perfectly on my Lara mesh body - it comes in a great range of colours, or a hud operated fat pack. It is compatible with all Belleza bodies, both Slink bodies, Maitreya Lara, and for standard avvies, a fitmesh version. I have teamed it with some recently updated boyfriend jeans from Lapointe & Bastchild.  My boots are new from Baby Monkey and can be bought in a classics hud, with the option to buy an extended hud.   They are compatible with Slink, Belleza and Maitreya mesh bodies, and also classic avvie.

This post is somewhat delayed as I have had a bit of a nightmare when my Lara mesh body corrupted, so I had to delete it and use a fresh one, which meant redoing all my saved outfits.  Also, I have also suddenly and belatedly (and about timely!), got the mesh head bug - I have had 4 of them for ages, but never quite felt like "me" in them.  That changed this week as I found an applier that I love, and yes, feels like me!  So as well as sorting out my mesh body problems, I also have to think about totally revamping all my outfits with a mesh head, so my little blogger head is spinning right now.  Anyway, expect much mesh headish gorgeousness on this blog very soon :).

Zsa is busy moving into a new home and wanted to be comfortable, so is wearing her old faithful jeans from Lapointe & Bastchild, which are still pretty much her favourite jeans ever.  She has teamed them with an easy-to-wear halter top from Baby Monkey (which comes with a colour change hud) - although this only comes in standard sizes I didn't have to alpha out a single cut, it fits perfectly on my Maitreya Lara mesh body. 

My sneakers from K C Couture are another wardrobe staple, and come with KC's fantastic texture change hud. My lovely pony from Amacci is just perfect, and comes with two bang options.  I had fun using their "crazy" hud and really love this pretty blue fade - I might try another crazy colour soon :).  

This is my first real location shoot now that I have a pc that can handle it.  I am having fun exploring and finding places I can use for blog posts.  Big yay!

#428 Free skin and a great sports bra

My skin today is the current free group gift from Laq, and I love her fresh prettiness.  The group is free to join, and you get all 7 tones in the gift, so nothing to lose, everything to gain! 

My sports bra top is a new mainstore release from Just Because and as you would expect from Annie Melson, it is rigged to absolute perfection.  It is available separately in a  great selection of solid colours and a few patterns, or in a fat pack including additional patterns which are not available separately.  I can see me wearing this a lot as it is so easy to wear and looks great,  I have teamed it with a wardrobe staple, my L& B skinny jeans, and my favourite sneakers from KC Couture.

I never could get the hang of Thursdays - Douglas Adams

I absolutely LOVE these new pants from DE Designs, which come in 6 textures and are available either separately or in a hud operated fat pack.  These are a really quality mesh build with lots of little detailing and great textures.  I love each of them but  I immediately wanted to wear the camo texture (black and tan camo are also available) and build my outfit round them.  They are compatible with Maitreya, Slink and all three Belleza bodies, as well as fitmesh for classic avvie.

My shoes are from Essenz at My Attic, with a choice of 12 colours for just 95L, too good to miss - they are compatible with Maitreya and Slink high feet.  My poses (other than the nails close-up) are from Label Motion, also for My Attic.  For the picture left of the collage below, I used Animare just to tweak the position of my head slightly so it wasn't devoured by my jacket. 

My Attic at the Deck finishes on 31st - still time to pick up the many goodies available, if you hurry.
