#498 Happiness is the sublime moment when you get out of your corsets at night

 My outfit today is a very "me" in so many ways - sometimes I just have to do the black thing from head to toe, same irl.  I am wearing Catwa Alice with WoW's new applier for Designer Showcase.  Another very pretty face from Sawsan Secretspy, Kassie is available in Omega applier and system skin.  I tend not to use Omega appliers much, simply because I prefer all the make-up options that often come via dedicated appliers.  For this look I have added some eye make-up from Sawsan's Mimi Catwa applier.  

Onto the jewellery - I love this chunky statement set (necklace, earrings and bracelets - my cuff is from another Meva set) from Meva which comes with a texture change hud allowing customisation via a very stylish metallic palette.

 Onto the outfit at last!  Doc Eldritch of DE Designs has released another fabulous corset - actually, in my opinion, it is his best corset ever.  It fits over my Maitreya Lara beautifully, and the detailing and texturing are as superb as you would expect from Doc's work.  Although not created specifically to go with them, the corset fits like a glove over one of Doc's earlier releases, the Rhea pants.  Both corset and pants come in Doc's beautifully rich colours palette, and you can choose from a hud operated fatpack or individual colours which come with a hud to change the laces, hasp and buckle hardware. 

 I had to share a back view, and momentarily whip ZZ's hair off (don't tell her, I don't think she noticed) because Doc does not spare the detailing here - look at the lacing, I can almost feel myself taking a deep breath while someone straps me up.  Even the textures and hardware on the neck band are beautifully done, even though unless you wear very short hair, they might not be seen.  Actually, it's a great reason to bring out the short hair.  I top - I mean bottom - the outfit with KC Couture's great open toe and ankle boots, and I am off to do me some dancing.

#495 Real Beauty

If I was told I could only wear one outfit for the rest of my Second Life, I would choose this one.  The top and bottom are from two of my favourite SL designers, Doc Eldritch and Annie Melson, and are such a total pleasure to wear.  I fell in love this brand new shirt from DE Designs the minute I tried it on, and was trying to decide what to wear with it, when I remembered a previous release from Just Because that I hadn't yet blogged - these gorgeous suede pants.  

Both top and pants come in a plethora of colours, and are as good as it gets with fitted mesh, and both fit like a dream on my Maitreya Lara mesh body.  The textures are incredible, the creases and folds giving a truly realistic appearance.  Ok, I will stop there before I overdose on my own adjectives!

Today's post brings together some goodies from the new round of Mesh Body Addicts Fair.   Firstly this very pretty skin from WoW which comes in a choice of 6 tones, each giving a choice of 4 bases, 5 eyeshadows and freckles/beauty spot options.  My outfit consists of two fabulous pieces from Annie Melson - I swear she outdoes herself with every new piece she releases.  This top and skirt take the phrase "fits like a glove" to a whole new level - they are simply perfect.  As always there is an array of gorgeous colours to choose from, and the skirt includes a hud to change the belt colour to either match or contrast.

My outfit today consists of top and shorts from Entice, both taken from different sets.  As with almost all Entice items, they are available in colour packs, with each pack giving you 3 or more colour choices via hud.  I have used one hud from each and done a bit of a mix and match.  As of when I publish this post, the tank plus denim skirts and boots are still available for just 99L for a 3 pack.  The shorts are available alone or in hud operated packs.

ZZ feels that this is a great outfit for running round events so I added some cute sneakers from KC Couture to avoid the chance her of falling and breaking a pixel or two if she runs around in her usual sky high heels.

Avi-Glam are at this month's Cosmopolitan with two packs of eyes.   At the risk of repeating myself (because I am!) I am so happy that my quest for eyes has finally ended, I can't say enough good things about these eyes.  They are just 75L for one colour, or 229L for the fat pack.  A huge bonus for the fat pack is that you only ever need one set of eyes, and any fat pack huds will work with them.  For someone who changes her eye colour as often as she...well, changes her eye colour.. this is a massive plus.  I have included the full hud below so that as well as seeing the gorgeousness of the colours, you can also see how easy it is to adjust them all from the same hud.

#484 The butterfly counts not months but moments

I felt kinda springy today and wanted to wear this truly gorgeous skirt form Mon Cheri.  Apart from the fabulous selection of patterns to choose from, you also get the skirt in sheer and not so sheer.  What is even better though, is that it comes with undies attached!  This made me jump for joy, confident in that if my studio was full of people, I would not be flashing my bits at them :).  I find this a real issue when wearing short skirts over a mesh body - I dance a lot and last night found myself camming up my own skirt to check I had my undies on - with this skirt, no need!   Whatever skirt texture you choose, the undies coordinate, I so wish more designers would do this for short skirts, I think it is such a great idea.

I am including the pic below simply because I wanted to show the skirt pattern, which is my absolute favourite.  I have worn this sports bra from Just Because but it remains one of my favourites, and most tops don't work great with a high waistband, whereas this one fits perfectly.

I am wearing my Avi-Glam eyes again, this time using the Nature hud.  This will probably be my leisure time hud, as I am pretty much always a green eyed redhead when not blogging, but I like experimenting with different styles and colours on my blog.

My dress is new from DE Designs and as with everything Doc Eldritch makes, it is beautiful made and a joy to wear.  I always love Doc's textures but particularly like it when he gives us a choice of plains or patterns to choose from as he has done with this dress - I have shown you a couple of the gorgeous  floral patterns.  As always, this dress comes in a multitude of fits, so you are sure to find something that works for you.

My hair is from the lovely Sisch Firecaster for the new round of The Season's Story.  It is available in a variety of huds, all containing a generous 30 colour choices.

 I am very happy, after a very long search, to have finally found eyes I love, and they are from a totally new-to-me designer, Kendra Parfort, for her store Avi Glam.  They have a selection of different eyes, all equally beautiful and just 49L a pair, or you can buy fatpacks.  What is particularly exciting to me as a blogger who changes her eyes in pretty much every post is that the fatpacks are hud operated, so just one set of eyes to fit to your mesh head and you are done.  I went for the Celestial range Arctic pack of the for this post, and this comes with an absolutely gorgeous selection of eyes on the blue spectrum in 3 size choices.  In my next post I will be wearing eyes from the same range but the Nature pack and you can pretty much expect these to be in all my blog posts for the foreseeable future.

This post has taken me way longer than it should have, because I was doing it as a home & garden/fashion mix, even took all the pics, but then decided I hated them, binned them and am doing the two posts separately.  As you can see, ZZ is still having fun messing with her mesh heads, and took advantage of this great new pose pack by Nantra for The Instruments.  It comprises 6 poses plus mirrors, along with 2 mobile phone props with mirrors. 

These new ones capris from Doc Eldritch made me squee a bit, because I love capris and have struggled to find just the right pair - and now I have!  They are really well constructed, with realistic creases and shading and come in a great selection of colours (individual or fatpack), with a hud to change hardware and belt texture.  They are compatible with all the major mesh bodies (demo first of course!) plus classic avatar.

My shirt from Just Because comes in a plethora of beautiful colours and is compatible with Maiteya Lara, both Slink bodies and all the Belleza bodies.  Both of the designers featured have colour palettes that I adore - nothing so bright you need pixel sunglasses to look at them, but deep, rich gorgeous tones.  Add that to their fantastic original mesh builds and superlative textures, these are both designers I would recommend to anyone.
