Peek-a-Boo

Love makes your soul crawl out from its hiding place".  Zora Neale Hurston

I have mentioned before how much of a pose hoarder I have become since starting blogging, and I particularly love finding something a bit different, or a new pose shop.

Finding this pack of 12 "Hide Face Poses" (6 different poses, mirrored) from IOS for just 69L made me a happy little ZsaZsa this weekend (easily pleased I am - ooohh, did you just hear Yoda's voice too then?).  They are from the current round of Room69, and IOS are also offering another set of poses for 69L.

My nail colours are all from Hello Dave's gorgeous Rich Autumnal Tones 2 palette.

Skullies

Getting ready for Halloween, I have teamed up a fab pair of skully leather jeans from DRBC with a jacket and tank from Lapointe & Bastchild  along with a pair of their latest boot releases.

I know my jacket is eating my earring on the close up (and trust me, it will eat away at me till I can sort it out), but SL is not playing nice right now and won't let me take any close ups without jagged edges right now, so until I can get a non-jagged replacement the one above is there just to show the gorgeous Belleza Leila skin and IKON eyes from his new Perspective line.

ZsaZsa loving the camera

The camera makes everyone a tourist in other people's reality, and eventually in one's own".  Susan Sontag

Obscura

Obscura

I have two posts that I am working on at the moment, but when I tried this this new pose set "Love the Camera" from Hopscotch at The Poser Pavilion, I had to put them down and create a post to use the poses in.  The pack contains 8 different poses all of which I love so much that I am showing them all below.

Since starting blogging I have become a total pose hoarder (after over 6 years of going "pfft" if I got a pose gift, and just - shock horror - deleting it - with a derisory "what would I do with a pose??"  Little did I ever imagine I would bitterly regret hitting that delete key!)  Anyway, I did a little happy pose dance when I saw these, and just know they are going to get a lot of use as they are so versatile - demonstrated perfectly by the difference between my pictures and the advert for the set.

Another cause for happy dancing today is the general release of Belleza's Leila skin's  - within 30 seconds of getting the notice I was there with my bank manager trying to drag me out.  I won, of course - thankfully the bank manager has yet to master the art of teleporting so he didn't stand a chance :).  As is blatantly obvious from this blog, I love Belleza.  Since starting to blog, I have tried other skins but never really feel "me" in them, no matter how pretty they are.  From the first moment I tried Leila on (the special at the last round of Collabor88), this became the skin I felt was absolutely perfect for me, even more so than the Belleza Lily, Chloe, Shyla and others that have been worn to death over the years (thank goodness pixels don't wear out).  So I have been waiting and hoping they would do a full release, and they did, yay!

The outfit itself is not a new one, but after I tried the poses this outfit from Caverna Obscura came to mind, as this dress is so pretty and "floaty", and I felt like a break from mesh for today.  To go with this lovely dress I dug into my SLink folder for these pretty ballet flats that I had not used yet.    And finally, I think the gorgeous Maxi Gossamer jewellery really work well with this outfit.

Ruminations in Leather

Rumination:  The act of pondering; meditation.  The act or process of chewing cud

Ruminating

Ruminating

I love finding new things in sl - places to visit, great music venues, things to do, new people, and also new designers - so I am happy today to be featuring not one, but two "new to me" designers in this post.

These great leather jeans are from DRBC - I love the zips and the crease detailing, which makes them look and feel very realistic - they are of course not real pixel leather, they are vegetarian faux pixel leather, or I couldn't wear them :).

It always astounds me when I find a hair creator I have not come across before, as is the case with
Rumina - the minute I tried this hair on I was in love with it - it is so "me",  Even better, it comes with a hud system which gives so many shade and streak options that I didn't even attempt to count (being mathematically challenged as I am).  Just take my word for it, you get lots.  This hair also comes with a flexi attachment which you can show/hide at will.  The hud also allows you to resize non rigged mesh hair, and delete scripts - and it even has a pose button.

Along with the "new to me" stuff here, I am wearing one of my oldies but wonderfulies (pfft to anyone who tries to tell me that isn't a word), my Lapointe & Bastchild Death Royale Beaded Halter, which I wear more times than I care to tell. My boots are also from Lapointe & Bastchild, but one of their newer releases.  Both halter and boots have L & B's great texture change hud systems (can you see a pattern forming here?).  For me it is always worth buying the fat packs of Lapointe & Bastchild items because their quality never falters - I have not once been disappointed with any of their items, be it leathers, denims, or footwear, so much so that they are one of the very few clothing brands where I (hangs head in shame) don't bother trying on demos.

The beautiful eyes I am wearing are the latest group gift from IKON, from the new Perspective range which is currently only available at The Boutique.  The nail appliers, which can't actually be seen clearly here, are from Hello Dave  and this palette gives a fab selection of really cute Halloween themes.  And finally, Maxi Gossamer's edgy silver and black leather accessories top the look off and the KaTink backdrop sets the scene perfectly.

Goodness, I have been a loquacious little ZsaZsa today haven't I.  I will attempt to curb my exuberance a little in my next post :).

Here I have combined two of items from different designers at the current round of My Attic @ The Deck, along with some jewellery from The Dressing Room Fusion, and Gos shoes that were featured at a previous round of The Boutique at TLC.

Both the skirt and top are so good that I have been back to get them in other colours :).  I seriously love Cynful's Shimmy Top, as I do the Shimmy Dress they had at Collabor88 a few months ago - being able to change the colour of the layers is great for a texture change lover (for which read "someone who likes to mess around like a kid with a new box of paints") like me.

This deep ruby gown, which is available at the latest round of Acid Lily, definitely has more than a little wow effect.  It is absolutely stunning, a gorgeous confection of mesh and flexi that creates an old time glamour hourglass figure.

I love everything about this gown, but if I had to choose one feature that I like best, it would be the back - the corsetry (not the right word but the one I am looking for totally escapes me) and bow detailing are so beautifully done.  I wonder if, when I wear this gown, it would be terribly rude of me to stand with my back to people so they can admire the view?

This gown comes with an applier for Lola Tangos.

Flips & Tote

Today I am sharing one of my go-to items, but some new-to-me items too.

The Lapointe & Bastchild beaded halter is an inventory staple, comes with one of my beloved texture change HUDs, and like all Lapointe & Bastchild clothing fits like a dream.

The great denim skirt is from a newly discovered (for me) store called Jazzitude  and there are numerous different textures and colours available in store.

The tote from KoKoLoReS comes in 6 different designs, all with 3 exclusive poses.  The tote is copy/mod so you can use your own poses in the scriptless version, and also change the size of the bag.  Why am I not wearing it here?   ZsaZsa takes after the typist behind her, she carries so much stuff in her bag that it is way too heavy so she needed to put it on the ground for a while.

The adorable "Walk on Flowers" flip flops from Hopscotch come in 8 different colours and will be available at the newest round of 'My Attic' (21st - 30th September) for 95L each. Afterwards they will be available through the marketplace and possibly the main store for 250L each. Please note that these are add-ons for SLink feet so may not work with other feet.

Lace imitating nature

"I consider lace to be one of the prettiest imitations ever made of the fantasy of nature; lace always evokes for me those incomparable designs which the branches and leaves of trees embroider across the sky, and I do not think that any invention of the human spirit could have a more graceful or precise origin."
  Coco Chanel, April 29, 1939

I am producing less posts at the moment because I am concentrating on quality rather than quantity, learning as much as I can, and getting my inventory as organised as possible to make blogging easier - and this in itself has been taking a lot of time.

I have also been having arguments with my groany pc who does not like it when I try to play with lighting and shadows.  However, I think we may have reached a compromise which means shadows and lighting effects will hopefully be appearing on a ZsaZsa post in the near future.

Anyway, on to this post - I was thrilled to see Candace Hudson releasing another mesh/flexi combo, as she does them so well, and has surpassed herself with this gorgeous outfit.  I am wearing the Cloudy Blue, but it also comes in grape and ebony. The texturing of the lace is stunning, and the flexi add-ons fit perfectly.

ZsaZsa aka Purdey has some Avenging Jazzitude

Jazzitude is a little thing that makes a big difference". Apologies to Winston Churchill for slightly changing his words :).

Jazzitude

Jazzitude

I saw someone wearing this outfit at the weekend, and loved it so much I asked where she got it.  She told me it was her F4N (Freebies for Newbies) gift from Jazzitude.

I tp'd over right away and picked one up for myself, and would not be surprised if I go back and get one of the other colour combinations.  There is nothing I dislike about this outfit, the textures are great, it fits perfectly with no shape tweaking, the boots are amazing and unlike anything I already have in my bulging invo.

I think it might be the combo of the hairstyle and the outfit but I definitely feel like I have a bit of Purdey of the Avengers vibe going on here - for those who have no clue what or who I am talking about, click here.

Although my newbie days are over, I just want to say a big thanks to those creators who are so generous to newbies - and this shows that it can bring new customers in unexpected ways - I for one will certainly be checking out Jazzitude regularly now.
