I love this dress and jacket set from K-Collection - you have a choice of 3 independent textures each for the dress, jacket and wristband and the whole outfit costs just $99L for Super Sales Weekend.

I have shown a few combos - I really love the unusual textures and the great colour combinations which give a lot of scope for accessorising.

My shoes are a new release from Baby Monkey, who have only just started making shoes for SLinks - these are for the high feet, and come with a texture change hud allowing you to change to any one of 32 textures, which makes the shoes so versatile, you are sure to find a colour to match any outfit.  They are just $300L which is incredible value too.  And studs, got to have anything with studs on!

LaNoir Soleil plus more from the Rock Attitude Fashion Fair

I love finding new shops, and the dress I am wearing here is from a new-to-me shop, [LNS Designs].  It is absolutely beautifully made original mesh, the layering and graduation in tone in each colour is just perfect. You can buy one of 9 colours including a matching seriously cute metal clutch, for just $97, or the fat pack for $397 - this comes with a hud giving you the choice of all 9 colours, a selection of which are shown here - and of course the fat pack includes the matching clutches. 

[LNS Designs] is well worth a visit, they have a selection of very reasonably priced hair, clothing and accessories, plus lots of gifts and lucky chairs, and the items I have bought so far have all been of an exceptionally high quality.  This is definitely a store I will be visiting often, and who will be appearing again on this blog soon!

I have teamed the dress with another item from the Rock Attitude Fashion Fair, the Lima SLink add-ons from Essenz (another new-to-me store), and is one of the two SLink add-ons they have available at the fair.  You can buy a choice of 6 colours separately, or the fatpack which comes with a hud allowing you to change between 6 colours, a selection of which I have also shown in the collages. 

Note:  A problem I have with firestorm sometimes means now and again a texture might not rezz completely - I usually catch this right away, but I appear to have missed it on these shoes - I will redo the photos and re-upload when I can, but please be aware that you need to see these shoes inworld to really appreciate them.

Leri Miles at the Rock Attitude Fashion Fair

This lovely dress is Leri Miles item for the Rock Attitude Fashion Fair.  It comes in 8 colours - blackberry, blueberry, espresso, grape, lemon, sage, strawberry and teal.  The fabric is rich and beautifully textured, and my photos really don't do justice to how pretty this dress is, so please go along and take a look yourself.

I have teamed the dress with some heels I found on MP, from a new-to me-designer,

Leverocci - I have shown just a few colours but the fatpack contains 14 colours for just $800, with both platform and non platform options in each colour.  They are add-ons for SLink medium feet, so amazing value.

The RAFF is on until April 11th, is really well organised, and has loads of the best known designers on the grid taking part, so you really don't want to miss out on it.  The website can be found here.  Go, just go, you really don't want to miss this one!

Moulin Rouge meets Video Games

This gorgeous mesh gown is the Sakide item for Moulin Rouge which opened March 15.  Also available in black, the colour is beautifully rich and as always with Sakide, the texturing is faultless. 

As this gown exudes old Hollywood glamour, I paired it with one of my favourite ever hairstyles, which was the Truth gacha prize at a previous round of The Arcade.  My skin is my newly discovered favourite from The Plastik at The Skin Fair, which I first drooled over here, and which I love so much I might never take it off!

Something old, something new

Just a quick post today as I am having some pc problems, but am doing a short "showing something old, something new" post.  The new is the Truth hair (one of 3 long styles he released this week, and all of which I love), which also comes with a texture change headband saying "haters", which I am not wearing.  

Also new is the acid wash jacket from Hudson's - available in the black I am showing here, and also gold and blue.  My eyes are an instore gift from Insufferable Dastard, whose eyes I have not really tried for a long time, as I found the pupil resizing thing just too much effort, but they give three different pupil sizes in the packs now, as far as I can tell, which is a great idea.   The old is of course my beloved Lapointe & Bastchild jeans and boots.

Letter from Paris

After the closure of a sim I really loved living on, I have wandered and tried quite a few new places that weren't right, but I have in the last week finally found my home - or maybe that should be returned home.  It has been the catalyst towards gaining a whole new lease of life in sl after a few months which (as well as rl being pretty tough) have included endings, beginnings, stumbles, mistakes, old friends coming back into my life unexpectedly, and a renewed appreciation of the blessings true friends can be, in both lives.

Anyway, I now feel more settled in sl than I can remember feeling for years, and am happy to share my first photos taken in my new home - hopefully the first of many.  And having finally found a way to get my dear old groaning pc to work with shadows,  I am having great fun learning how to use them and fiddling with windlights..

My outfit today is from [ SAKIDE ] , is beautifully textured and a really gorgeous soft and muted rose colour.  It comes with an optional black lace add-on for the waist, which I am not showing here.

I am always so happy when Hudson's release another of their fabulous gypsy/pirate wench/peasant style outfits, because they are always made so beautifully - and this new one is no exception.  The attention to detail and the perfectly made flexi skirt mean that I don't even miss mesh when wearing it, and that is really saying something!

My skin is the first I have ever bought from League and it was only the 50% sale that made me take the plunge - I wish I had done it sooner, it was love at first sight!

ZsaZsa's Multicoloured Blog Post

As will become apparent as you scroll down, I have today been in multi coloured texture change collage creating heaven while creating this post.  Now say that 20 times without pausing for breath :).. My outfit is a combination of 3 items from Ducknipple, the jacket and wedges from their original mesh range, DN, and the capris from their budget range, 20.FIVE.

The jacket gives a choice of 12 different textures, shown below.  It is beautifully textured, with some unusual colours included in the mix, which I really like.

I will be honest, the wedges are not my usual style, but I absolutely love these.  You can wear them plain, or with the added spikes or studs - I like them all but have a definite preference for the spikes.  The socks and shoes each come with 12 texture choices, all shown below, and along with the choice of studs, spikes, and plain, there are enough option to wear a new combination for at least a gazillion years, give or take a bazillion.  Well, lots and lots anyway.

And finally, the capris which come with 5 texture changes via Hud:  I had been searching sl for capris for ages, because I like fifties rockabilly styling, so was very happy to find a pair which fit really well and has texture change options too :).

Ok, after all this hud fun, I think, I am going to have to lie down in a quiet room for a while.

Newness for The Kollective and Gothmas by Gaslight

This stunning gown is available at the new round of The Kollective.  I like the way the textures are mixed on most of the dresses, and I really love the back cut-out.  You get all 12 textures on the hud, which is great value, and fun for someone like me who loves playing with huds :).

The gorgeous necklace and earrings I am wearing is by AZE for Gothmas by Gaslight which is on until January 5th.  The photos really can't do them justice, however, as they are filled with magically swirling snowflakes - clean snow in the silver and gold, dirty in the copper and gunmental!  I have added a really pretty ring by Cae.

Oh my gacha, oh my gacha, oh my gacha, little flats!

Ever since SLink shoes came out, i have been searching for the perfect flattie with no luck other than the special themed ones Chandni Khondji of Hopscotch brought out last year (2013!).  So I was really happy to find out that she had made more for the Oh My Gacha event - so happy in fact that I dropped everything to do a shoot and post to show off these little beauties!

These flatties are SLink Addons. You *might* be able to fit them on avatar feet or Toodledoo feet, but will have to make your own Alpha then. They are modifiable to you can make them bigger or smaller but they are designed for SLink feet so other fits are not guaranteed. 

They come in 10 colors, 8 common and 2 rares. 50 L per play.  The first two are the rares, and are just adorable - well they all are, but those two in particular :)..

Dancing the Eyelash Spectacular

Something I really enjoy about blogging is finding a small item, particularly something really unusual like these fabulous eyelashes from Finesmith, and building a blog post around it - sometimes it takes a lot of thinking, experimenting, trying things on, and sometimes it all just falls together. 

In this case as soon as I tried the eyelashes on I knew I wanted to go down the pale, ethereal, fantasy path, and remembered that I had a Christmas Angel dress from Angelwing in my inventory.  Flexi they may be, but Angelwing's creations are still beautiful, and hard to beat for movement.

The eyelashes come with lots of different options, all of them spectacular, so you can play with them till you get the look you are after

What does ZsaZsa get up to when she thinks I am not around?

Ever wondered if your avvie has a life when you aren't around?  Nope?  Oh well, I had, so I crept up on ZsaZsa to find her in her new Christmas pj's belting out songs from Grease.  She is always complaining that I prefer dressing her as a rock chick, and now and again she wants to do cute (unlike me) so I guess she got fed up of waiting and did it herself!

Her pj's are one of the gifts in the advent calendar at Jazzitude.  Included are leggings, tank and thong, a mesh t-shirt, a little candycane to suck (ZsaZsa understandably can't sing and suck a candy cane at the same time) and a stocking with a teddy in (I found him in a corner covering his ears).  

The gifts are free, and Jazzy will leave the calendar out a bit longer than the 24th, so if you have missed any days you can pick them up afterwards - but you can only pick up one gift a day. Some gifts are full outfits including shoes, so they really are worth picking up.  These pj's are behind #5 and there is a set for guys under #1 so you and your man can prance about in matching sets - how romantic!

My jewellery and nail appliers are all to be found under the tree outside Izzies, mostly free, but the snowflake earrings are 10L.
