#527 The $100L Challenge

And now for something completely different!  One of the YouTube channels I love to watch is Alicia Chenaux's, and in her latest vlog she issues a challenge to put together an outfit, including clothing, hair, accessory and shoes, for just 100L!  If you haven't already seen it, watch Alicia's video here - and give the challenge a go yourself!  If you do, please share your link in my comments so I don't miss it.

I love this kind of challenge but I couldn't go to two of the places I would have normally headed for right away - Hilly Haalan and Pure Poison, as Alicia used them in her video, so I wanted to find somewhere different.

  

After a while searching mp with no luck, I suddenly remembered a store I loved in my pre-mesh days and I was happy to see Sharodie still does gorgeous flexi gowns but now with omega appliers - and she also does mesh dresses.   To say her items are reasonably priced is an understatement and a half - and that is why I am giving you 2 mesh dresses with texture change huds, plus bracelet, hair and 2 pairs of shoes for the grand sum of $99L!

The two dresses I am showing cost 35L each and come with texture change huds but other items from Sharodie usually cost around the 25L mark but are often less. 

I went to the SL Frees & Offers group for both my hair and shoes, and already knew where to find the goodies.  My hair is the current gift for SL Frees & Offers group members from Alice Project - you get the hair plus a basics hud with a variety of naturals and colours.  Both pairs of shoes are from Livalle, again for SL Frees & Offers members.  My accessory is a bracelet from Golden Fleece who used to have a store inworld but I was thrilled to find them on mp, and this texture change bracelet costs just 29L. 

On a final note, the sofa, tables and pots I am showing are part of the Mauricette set by Serenity Style for SaNaRae.

#327 Skin Fair 2015 - Lumae goes back to the fifties

Today's post is a bit of a mishmash - because I have a heap of Skin Fair goodies I want to show, it started purely as a Skin Fair post for Lumae, but then when I tried the skin on I got the feeling it might fit a fifties style furniture post I had been putting together in my blogging room.  So I dug through my inventory and found the dress I was thinking of wearing with the furniture (does that sentence sound as weird as I think it does?), and then it all fell together.  So instead of doing a plain Skin Fair post it has become a skin, fashion and furniture post, as if I didn't already have enough on my blogging plate!

I haven't tried anything from Lumae (or Aeva) for a few years, but I love this skin so much, and that it has a freckles option makes it even better.  It is fresh and pretty but not too young looking.  Mr Maddaloni logged on when I was just adjusting my necklace, and almost the first words out of his mouth were "oh I love that skin!", and about five minutes later he said "that skin is really hot".  I think my hubby might be a closet freckle lover!  

Lumae have made quite a few changes on their skins since I last tried them - they were pretty then but now they are seriously pretty, and Lumae are very generous with the goodies they give with their skins.  There are 8 tones to choose from and at the Skin Fair they are half price at 825L and included in each pack is pretty much any applier you could wish for.  You also get an easy to use hud allowing you to change the cleavage.

The furniture is a collection of goodies from various places round the grid, I will talk about it more below.  I just wanted to mention my dress which comes from one of my favourite ever vintage clothing shops, Has Been, and comes with a fantastic hud allowing you to change 5 separate areas of the dress and giving you the choice of 14 colours, plus an additional 14 with flowers on for the dress itself.  My shoes from Sky also come with a texture change hud allowing 24 shoe colours plus 2 metal.

#242 Bunny, me, and my phone makes three

I am still putting my house together, but I reckon I have knocked down enough walls, added enough windows etc, so I can concentrate a little more on decorating now.

I still have a lot to do (all those little knick-knacks that make a house a home, even in sl) but got tired and sat down for a rest with a new friend  from MOoH! (previously FBD) who is one of the 7 commons available at the Gatcha Garden - there are also 3 rares.  He is 11 prims, and comes with 6 animations.  He is beautifully made, totally adorable, and he is staying to keep my kittycats company when I am not there!

The poses and phone used in these two photos are from KaTink - there are four Selfie packs available, all coming with a phone prop for both the right and left hand, also one plain (as I am using here) and one where you can drop a pic of your own.  It comes with a hud allowing you to choose between 18 phone case textures and 7 screen textures.

My outfit from LivGlam consists of a short and top set, the top coming with a hud for 3 diffferent textures, and some really cute flats which come with 10 different textures via hud,   

My hair is from Hair Fair 2014 which opened on Saturday - go, fight the lag, it is SO worth it! My eyes are from a new-to-me designer, are absolutely stunning, and almost as sparkling as his facebook name!  They come with a ton of options size wise, including petite, and also in mesh, prim and system options.
