#376 Return of the Fawn

I am sharing again the gorgeous PXL skin from this month's We Love Roleplay, which I showed here without the branch tattoos.  I love everything about this skin, it is so fresh and pure and I adore the little branch tattoo - all the better as a tattoo layer so you can wear the skin with or without. Shara comes in two tones with 3 make-ups each, plus other goodies like freckle and cleavage tattoos.

Serendipitously, I received a notice from Indyra about this outfit which comes with the fawn antler head-dress and thought it would work well with the skin.  Both dress and headpiece come with texture change huds giving 5 matching options each, all of them very pretty.  Although it only comes in standard sizes, there were no issues at all wearing the Indyra maxi with my SLink Physique.

My unusual turquoise palette foot jewels from Sky were hiding under my dress so I dragged them out for a pic - they come with a texture change hud giving you three texture choices.

#375 Harmony is all I need

First Life has conspired against this little sl blogger this week, giving me major internet access issues which appear to be fixed now thankfully.  However, I am crashing repeatedly while doing shoots, so actually getting these pics done took me about 15 relogs.  To make it worse I had already done a full shoot for this outfit, uploaded them to flickr and then sat and looked at the pics and thought "not good enough" so I deleted them and started all over again with some tweaks, totally new background, new poses, the lot.  I did this with my next post too, but for different reasons.

Soooo today's outfit is fun, summery newness from Sky.  As you would expect from Sky Summerwind, the textures are fantastic.  The dress and SLink high heels are bought separately but they both coming in four "flavours" accessible via hud (great for lazy people like me!).  I absolutely love the vibrant tie dye style explosion of colour in all four choices.  I had no issues at all fitting this dress to my Slink Physique.

My skin is new from PXL for  We Love Roleplay.  It comes in two tones with 3 make-ups in each, and with lots of extras such as varying levels of freckles, various cleavage options and a special tattoo that I will reveal in my next post.   

My hair is one of two new styles from Elikatira which are debuting at this month's Collabor88. I love the casual choppiness and loose strands, and the Elikatira reds are definitely some of the best.  My nails are from a new to me designer, Alia Whitfield of Blissiere. These are from one of her instore gachas - they are only 50L a go and well worth a play as her designs are very fresh, vibrant and fun.

#372 The world is my flip flop

Long long ago, in a previous incarnation far far away, my avvie had pink hair that I fashioned out of the default sl hair, really stylish as I am sure you can imagine. Sadly/thankfully, no pics of those early days (over 8 years ago) remain, but at the time I thought I looked really cool, so my avvie was pink haired for a long time.  One day she discovered a hair store and bought her first "real hair" which was probably only a small step up from the default hair (and the shop still exists so mentioning no names) - but my avvie put her pink hair days behind her.

Zsa has never, as far as I can remember, worn coloured hair unless for a fantasy type blog post, but when I saw this gorgeous new hair from Elikatira I was wearing lavender pants and top, and I suddenly had the urge to go purple.  My earrings and pendant from Maxi Gossamer really seemed to fit the vibe I felt wearing this outfit, and I think give a nice contrast to all my purpleness.

The fit of this top from Just Because is nothing short of perfection, but next time I blog it, I must remember to take a pic of the criss cross back which is stunning.  You can buy the top separately (13 colours to choose from) or buy the fat pack with a hud to change colours.  My starstruck jeans from Sky come with a hud with a choice of 8 colours, my flip flops (or thongs to my Antipodean friends) from Illi come with a large amount of preset colours for independent strap and bottom changes, but also an infinity colour picker so the world can be your flip flop too.

#370 A new twist on Sky

This outfit from Sky is beautifully made and textured as you would expect from Sky Summerwind, with great strap and zip detailing on the skirt.  It comes with a hud allowing 5 texture changes for the skirt and top separately.  I am wearing it on my SLink mesh body and was wondering if I would have trouble with alphas for the leg but I had no issues at all, no alpha tweaking required.

My poses are from a new KaTink release - they are so dramatic, totally different to any I have seen before - and they seem to be just made for this outfit to show off the side details so well.  They transition beautifully and the set of 10 poses will be sold at Sneak Peek for 350L - that is a 50L discount for the fat pack.  Once the event is over, Gabby will be split into 2 sets - Set 1 and Set 2 and will be sold at the KaTink store for 200L each.  Sneak Peek opens it's gates on the 25th.

My shoes are a recent release from KC Couture for SLink high feet, and as always they come with an extensive hud allowing you to colour different parts of the shoe for total customisability (ok that is another word I just invented, but it fits!). 

I am so happy to see some new hair from Elikatira - e l i k a p e k a is one of my favourite hair designers, and her three new styles don't disappoint at all.  There are 7 colour huds to choose from, each containing wonderful textures and tones whatever your colour of choice.

#327 Skin Fair 2015 - Lumae goes back to the fifties

Today's post is a bit of a mishmash - because I have a heap of Skin Fair goodies I want to show, it started purely as a Skin Fair post for Lumae, but then when I tried the skin on I got the feeling it might fit a fifties style furniture post I had been putting together in my blogging room.  So I dug through my inventory and found the dress I was thinking of wearing with the furniture (does that sentence sound as weird as I think it does?), and then it all fell together.  So instead of doing a plain Skin Fair post it has become a skin, fashion and furniture post, as if I didn't already have enough on my blogging plate!

I haven't tried anything from Lumae (or Aeva) for a few years, but I love this skin so much, and that it has a freckles option makes it even better.  It is fresh and pretty but not too young looking.  Mr Maddaloni logged on when I was just adjusting my necklace, and almost the first words out of his mouth were "oh I love that skin!", and about five minutes later he said "that skin is really hot".  I think my hubby might be a closet freckle lover!  

Lumae have made quite a few changes on their skins since I last tried them - they were pretty then but now they are seriously pretty, and Lumae are very generous with the goodies they give with their skins.  There are 8 tones to choose from and at the Skin Fair they are half price at 825L and included in each pack is pretty much any applier you could wish for.  You also get an easy to use hud allowing you to change the cleavage.

The furniture is a collection of goodies from various places round the grid, I will talk about it more below.  I just wanted to mention my dress which comes from one of my favourite ever vintage clothing shops, Has Been, and comes with a fantastic hud allowing you to change 5 separate areas of the dress and giving you the choice of 14 colours, plus an additional 14 with flowers on for the dress itself.  My shoes from Sky also come with a texture change hud allowing 24 shoe colours plus 2 metal.

#319 Look up to the sky

I haven't blogged for a week or so because of a major bereavement and then our internet went down for four days - we only just got it back today, so I am trying to finish the blog posts I already had "in the works".  I am still struggling irl, so if my posts are not as chatty as usual, that is why - but hopefully I can keep on blogging as at least it keeps my mind occupied.  Anyway, I am not going to do a lot of talking in this post, other than to say that this is one of my absolute favourite outfits, I have worn it so often, and it is the first of my old outfits that I have updated to wear with a mesh body.  The tank and sweater are bought separately and both come with huds giving 20 colour options.  And I am wearing my new favourite hair from Mina.

Looking up to the sky mum, I will love and miss you forever.
