#388 My Slink Obsession stars in Don't forget your Undies!

As a lover of vintage glamour and fifties fun, I am a huge fan of Terrie Dreadlow's work , so was thrilled to see that she has created a new outfit for My Slink Obsession.  The dress is rigged for Slink Physique absolutely perfectly and also comes in standard sizing and various fitmesh sizes.  The wedges come rigged for both Slink and Belleza. Both dress and wedges come with extensive texture change huds allowing various parts to be changed independently for ultimate customisabilty (apparently that is not a word - it is now!).  

I decided to be a blue eyed blonde for this post for no particular reason other than that I can. I am really loving this bright blonde shade from Elikatira, though of course the hud gives you many different blonde shades to choose from.  I also think the blonde works really well with Sawsan Secretspy's delicately beautiful skin currently at Designer Circle.

ps in case you are wondering, the title for this post refers to the bottom right pic in the collage - it was only when I was taking that pic that I realised Zsa (who is lazy and rarely wears undies) was inadvertently flashing. Not so bad as she was the only one there and I could move the camera angle to preserve her dignity (which she has now lost again as I am telling you about this).  However, I later tp'd to a friend while wearing this outfit, landed on their head, and then sat down to ride a helicopter - neither activity should be attempted without undies or an outfit that covers more than this dress does!

#327 Skin Fair 2015 - Lumae goes back to the fifties

Today's post is a bit of a mishmash - because I have a heap of Skin Fair goodies I want to show, it started purely as a Skin Fair post for Lumae, but then when I tried the skin on I got the feeling it might fit a fifties style furniture post I had been putting together in my blogging room.  So I dug through my inventory and found the dress I was thinking of wearing with the furniture (does that sentence sound as weird as I think it does?), and then it all fell together.  So instead of doing a plain Skin Fair post it has become a skin, fashion and furniture post, as if I didn't already have enough on my blogging plate!

I haven't tried anything from Lumae (or Aeva) for a few years, but I love this skin so much, and that it has a freckles option makes it even better.  It is fresh and pretty but not too young looking.  Mr Maddaloni logged on when I was just adjusting my necklace, and almost the first words out of his mouth were "oh I love that skin!", and about five minutes later he said "that skin is really hot".  I think my hubby might be a closet freckle lover!  

Lumae have made quite a few changes on their skins since I last tried them - they were pretty then but now they are seriously pretty, and Lumae are very generous with the goodies they give with their skins.  There are 8 tones to choose from and at the Skin Fair they are half price at 825L and included in each pack is pretty much any applier you could wish for.  You also get an easy to use hud allowing you to change the cleavage.

The furniture is a collection of goodies from various places round the grid, I will talk about it more below.  I just wanted to mention my dress which comes from one of my favourite ever vintage clothing shops, Has Been, and comes with a fantastic hud allowing you to change 5 separate areas of the dress and giving you the choice of 14 colours, plus an additional 14 with flowers on for the dress itself.  My shoes from Sky also come with a texture change hud allowing 24 shoe colours plus 2 metal.

#254 After Hours

I was getting ready for a night out and thought I would share my outfit.  My shoes are from LivGlam and come with one of their astounding 64 pantone huds, so you can pretty much match - or contrast - them to everything.  They are add-ons for the SLink high feet.

My little purple dress is another staple from Has Been, and comes with a texture change hud giving 8 very pretty colour choices.  The dress fits absolutely perfectly, no disappearing straps or visible alpha here.

#252 Beached

A new pose store, Repose (from the creators and owners of Embody, The Theme Park and the Woodland Park sim), has it's grand opening today (I will add the details at the end of this post) and I wanted to show one of the props I picked up there. 

 Attthe same time I thought I would take the opportunity to share this gorgeous vintage swimsuit from Has Been, which seemed to fit perfectly with the old time glamourous poses in this towel.

ln the pack you get six different towels, and a choice of 6 poses - I love the poses, which to me very much spoke 50's glamour, hence my search for a costume that would fit with that vibe.  The swimsuit comes with Has Been's usual amazing hud, allowing you to change the bottom, bodice and trim independently, with a multitude of colour choices.  You also get 7 sizes, including curvy, which makes it really easy to get a perfect fit.

l just had to show you a close up of the fabulous ice cream cone nails which are one of the latest VIP gift from Hello Dave, and are best worn on pointed nails as I am here.

#245 A bunch of delicious carrots from Hair Fair 2014

Today I decided to show some of the long hair available at Hair Fair 2014, and there is plenty of it for anyone who likes long locks.  In this first pic, we have Sileny from Alice Project, and Blown Away by Exile.  Both beautifully made from two of the best long hair makers in sl (in my opinion anyway)

Next we have a "new to me" designer, Fiore.  I really like the simple side plaiting and the wispy bits of hair, and the reds available via the hud system are lovely.  On the right is Mina's Sophia, I really like Mina's way with long hair as well as her choice of colours - you get a materials version in the pack as well as the non-materials I have shown.

Although this post is really about the hair, i wanted to show my outfit, which is one of my absolute favourites.  It is from Has Been and comes with huds for both top and belt allowing 9 different texture choices.  

My shoes from LivGlam come with a hud allowing 64 (yes, 64!) different colours, and also come in a choice of black, silver or gold studded shoes - I am wearing the silver.  So you actually get (gets her calculator out) 192 pairs of shoes!).

There is just a week to left to get along to Hair Fair 2014, snag the freebies and dollarbies and most importantly, buy yourself some new hair or bandanas, knowing that a percentage of your payment is going to the wonderful charity, Wigs for Kids.  If ever there was a reason to get out your SL wallet, this is it.  You will find a list of shops and landmarks here.

#227 Ahoy There!

Since I first discovered Has Been many moons ago it was one of my favourite vintage shops, but somewhere along the way I had lost track of it over the last year or so.  I was thrilled, therefore, to visit My Attic at the Deck to find new Has Been goodies!

This is one of four dresses available at My Attic at the Deck and like all of them it comes with a fab texture change HUD giving you 10 colour choices but even more, allowing you to change five different parts of the dress individually, so you can really make it your own.  The dress is absolutely beautifully made and the textures are gorgeous.

My cute jewellery set is a past group from Izzies and comes in gold too.  My shoes are new from Liv-Glam and truly fabulous - I am so glad they have started to do SLink add-ons, and they do them so well!  Even better, they come with a texture change HUD allowing you to choose any of 60 rich, beautiful colours, so you are sure to be able to find whatever kind of shade you need to go with an outfit.
