# 278 Something old, something new

Now that I am (sort of) over the shock of losing almost 7000 items from my inventory, I am getting organised and back to blogging.  I love discovering new designers and mixing and matching with some old favourites as I have done here.  



 These snakeskin pants from UNiQ PhaZE are just 50L at Thrift Shop, they are so easy to wear, and come in a variety of texture choices.  I absolutely love the leather top from DaneMarkZ which is beautifully made and also comes in a good selection of colours.  My necklace and earrings are from E C R U, also for Thrift Shop, and available in two sets of 8 colours for just 39L each or both for 65L.  The Ruby (Vermilion) set I am wearing is up up for just 1L  My boots from Baby Monkey come with a hud giving you 18 texture choices for boots, soles, straps and laces and 4 choices for the metal.

Finally a closer look at my very pretty skin which is the .::WoW Skins::. exclusive for the current Designer Circle round, available in bronze, tan and dark tan, for just 99L.  I am wearing the tan here.

Forest Treasures

Considering that I always say that green is my least favourite colour, this post is a bit unexpected, but I built it around this fabulous necklace from Aze Jewellery for the current round of Genre.  Amilia Zabeleta does some of the most intricate, unique creations I have seen in sl - this necklace is breathtakingly beautiful, the metal tendril is worked exquisitely, and is adorned with treasures Amilia has found on the forest floor - ladybugs, little toadstools, a snail, and little flowers.  

My eyes are by Adoness for The Thrift shop, 50% off at just 40L per pair - I am just wearing the basic eyes, but also included in the pack for each colour are a full bright and a glow version, as well as system eyes and an alpha.

Letter from Paris

After the closure of a sim I really loved living on, I have wandered and tried quite a few new places that weren't right, but I have in the last week finally found my home - or maybe that should be returned home.  It has been the catalyst towards gaining a whole new lease of life in sl after a few months which (as well as rl being pretty tough) have included endings, beginnings, stumbles, mistakes, old friends coming back into my life unexpectedly, and a renewed appreciation of the blessings true friends can be, in both lives.

Anyway, I now feel more settled in sl than I can remember feeling for years, and am happy to share my first photos taken in my new home - hopefully the first of many.  And having finally found a way to get my dear old groaning pc to work with shadows,  I am having great fun learning how to use them and fiddling with windlights..

My outfit today is from [ SAKIDE ] , is beautifully textured and a really gorgeous soft and muted rose colour.  It comes with an optional black lace add-on for the waist, which I am not showing here.

Simply Sakide at The Thrift Shop

“Energy and persistence conquer all things” -  Benjamin Franklin

At the latest round of The Thrift Shop, Sakide has four mini dresses, all texture change via HUD.  I am only showing one of the four today - this is the plain dark set. 

You can wear just the dress, or the dress with the belt ,each option having it's own HUD, and both belt and dress are texture change independently, so you get way more combinations than this mathematically challenged blogger can compute!  I am showing the belted option as I like the low slung belt look.

The hair is a new one from Exile, and my shoes are one of my favourites from KoiKoi  (texture change of course ㋡).

Gowns are like buses...................

.......I don't do a gown post for months and then suddenly do two within a few days.... but how could I resist!

I built this outfit round the stunning necklace (if ever a necklace is worthy of the accolade "statement piece", this is it) and earrings, two of Maxi Gossamer's items at  the current Collabor88.  .As almost always with Maxi's pieces, these are colour change, but I had seen the gown around the same time so decided to go with the gold.  

The [[ Masoom ]] gown is  for sale at the Singer Icon Fair and is available in a further four colour options, and includes a lola applier. The fullness of the skirt is created by two mesh attachments, something I have not seen before on a gown, and they certainly do help the gown to flow beautifully, appearing to be of a part of the gown, which can't be said of many flexi attachments.

Not a Flying Purple People Eater

I so love finding "new-to-me" designers, and Adoness is the latest. I am wearing 3 of their items which are in the latest round of The Thrift Shop.  The gown is in a beautifully opulent deep amethyst, - it comes with tintable pasties in case you need them (I didn't) and bracelets, which I am not wearing, but I am wearing the purple from their nail appliers set. 

I am finding myself drawn to asymetrical and part shaved hair styles, and this one is absolutely fabulous.  Possibly such a style does not "go" with the gown, in some eyes, but I like the contrast - and also returning to what was at one time my normal hair colour, copper.
